DAY 3
Left our rest house around 12 to go and check out Mahudand lake.
The caretakers of the rest house did tell us not to go there and stay in Kalam because of the roads and rush uptil there
We still took a chance and got into our cars to see.
The drive is again very scenic. The Ushu forest is worth spending time and taking photographs in
The road condition is actually far better than the road coming from bahrain
But the closer we got to mahudand the narrower the roads got and the anxiety of getting trapped again increased for us
we crossed the the matiltan town and we stopped to ask a local if people are going to mahudand. he said yes a lot of people are gone and got their cars trapped in the rush
most people are returning without seeing the lake.
that was the final pin to our decision and we decided to turn back and head back to the cottage
we werent sad about it because we know we got ourselves away from trouble.
whatever we saw so far was still worth it driving down till kalam
on our way back we tried to take a stop over at the mighty waterfall but there were again too many people there... we stopped at another place near the river then later in ushu forest ..took a couple of family shots .. then at 5 pm we were back in our beloved cottage
some went walking around the area .. spent some time and it was good enough
from there we decided to stay in mingora serena!
