2013 Chevrolet Spark( redesign) - nice. the car feels and looks much more upmarket even though there is no price change and actually, you get more for your money. on-road price of car in pic(top of line) is Rs4.25lacs and the only offer is a Rs5,000 corporate discount. the rear is the best part of this car now but i couldn'ttake a pic as the car was parked too close to the display case behind. real vfm

2013 Chevrolet SAIL U-VA - All new family hatchback replacing the U-VA. On-road price of mid-range model shown in pic is RS5.60lacs which included tilt steering et alia. Even the base model which retails for an on-road price of RS4.92lacs ex-Chennai comes equipped with power steering, 4-door power windows and aircon. the top of the line is loaded with 4-airbags etc. this car is a huge improvement over the old model and i can see youngsters driving this car too with slight mods. another vfm car from chevy for us. i like the overall look though not too excited about the rear design of the hatch and the upcoming sedan looks much better from the rear. i give the SAIL U-VA 5 stars for space.

Jap imports are very rare here, a few under transfer of residence mainly and that too RHD only, as LHD cars are prohibited from anywhere(few exceptions). Even embassy/consular staff from LHD countries have to use RHD cars locally, so the German consular staff use locally made Mercedes/BMW/Audi cars for eg. Except for Subaru, all major Japanese automakers have a manufacturing and component sourcing base in India and offer a comprehensive range of cars to suit every budget, some of them exclusively designed for the Indian auto market. The EvoX, 370Z, GT-R and other Jap supercars are sold and serviced locally through the respective companies' authorized dealer network alongside the other cars in the lineup.
