dropped in at my TATA dealer and saw the new Manza 'Club Class' edition on display. the Manza has been given dollops of makeup in it's final year of production and this edition is priced at 8.5lacs on road ex-Chennai. good deal for a family car buyer.

first clear day after a week of damp and gloom but we still have to contend with the Metro rail construction mess. they're constructing the underground stations first so figure the amount of soil that is being strewn around. i just found out that the Chennai Meto Rail system is being built by Chinese contractors:o

later this afternoon i'm scheduled to go offroading in Audi's Q series SUVs. I'll share the view with y'all.

as Chennai braces itself for cyclone Nilam. these pics were taken late morning when things were somewhat 'normal' and forget about driving around after that. i was glad i made it home safe in the evening.

hope the weather improves over the weekend and you enjoy the beaches there. we're beginning to emerge from cyclone Nilam and get back to some sense of normalcy here. take pics of the Nano cabs in Colombo , if you can.

aftermath of cyclone Nilam in my street. though the rain had stopped, it is still dank and gloomy outside. the city admin has done a great job of keeping things going, despite the havoc.

i took these pics while driving from work today and nice to see the cleanup on major roads post cyclone. what is irritating is the dampness still on walls. i hope the sun shines brightly this weekend and dries us up and i get to spot some nice cars too while i go about my business.

back to bizniss in this thread with review of new Chevy SAIL U-VA, redesigned Chevy Spark and nice spots if i'm lucky coming to a PW near you...
