Yusha thank you. I got the bill, the electricity is economical in your city and there are almost NONE of Govt taxes built-in to the bill.

our electricity is Rs.18 plus per unit domestic plus tax approx 19.75. at current xchange rate it is equivalent Ind.Rs. 9.75 while .... as per Your bill it is Ind.Rs. 6.00 per unit.

we pay high in metros & still suffer to bone. while I think Indian metros have very negligible power outtage / load shedding.

Some cities still endure short power cuts every now and then, but that problem is slowly making its way into the history books. The last time Bombay had a power outage was on the day of the record floods back in 2005, and even then, only the suburbs were affected for a couple of hours.

This ? or maybe this ? might be helpful.In most states usage is charged according to the slabs.

i decided to check out the new Wagon-R 'Stingray' from Maruti-Suzuki. in Wagon-R trim i wouldn't even glance at it but this do is nice. i liked it in the flesh too. and, excuse the bad quality pics due to my old and weary camera. the stingray is a nice car for the asking price which is 5.21lacs on-road for the car on display.

I love that Amby. So nice and nostalgic to see one so well maintained. I learnt to drive in an Ambassador back in 1989-1990. I wall all of 12 years old and use to drive in this huge college ground right opposite my house. And would take control of the steering wheel while coming back from school on the empty roads, back then, of Lucknow. My parents wouldn't let me drive alone on public roads though I could. The first time i drove the family car was after getting a licence in 1996. It was a white coloured Mark IV Ambassador with a column shifter and it was fast and had modified vacuum assisted brakes.Stopped on a dime, that car. Memories!!!

thanks for the appreciation :). re: load shedding(lolzz), as of now none in my town, but as in anywhere in this part of the world anything can happen at anytime.
