2012 Renault Duster. The petrol version retails for RS8.56lacs on road ex-Chennai. That's a lot of car for the money and is a sportier option for a person/family on a budget. The Maruti-Suzuki Ertiga petrol is actually cheaper than this on road but is a more conventional design. It is all about options and this is one more option for the Indian car buyer. The build quality is excellent and there is enough room for five and huge storage space too, more so with the rear seats folded. Going by initial response , i can say that Renault is finally coming into it's own in the Indian car market though they actually manufacture lacs of cars for export at their Chennai factory. Good move by Renault-Nissan.

The Duster looks best in white. They should have displayed a white or wine red car in the showrooms instead of a brown car.

finally, i get a somewhat clear view of this car!lol. there's more pics coming later ofcourse. well, atleast these frequent shows gives the average joe, students and such the opportunity to check out the latest cars and bikes , especially the SLS, 650i , Harleys and other premium vehicles upclose. it's not for the elites and their chamchas alone.
