My New 2JZ-GTE (Twin Turbo) For my Mazda RX8 (2005) 6 Speed Manual

Assalam o alikum Brothers

ALhumdulillah I Purchased my 2jz GTE Through Pakwheels

the engine is as complete as it gets since it has come from dubai.

includes complete wiring from A to Z, I guess Boost controller or some unit, auto transmission electronic unit, ECU, etc etc.

MY Mazda Rx8 (2005) 6 speed manual.

IN SHA ALLAH work will start from day after tommorow

Michanic: Khalid from Badar.

Engine Installer: Nawaz from Phase 2.

Other Extras Include (which are currently available):

K & N Typhoon Air Intake system Currently installed on the 13 B.

Apexi N1 Exhaust

Inter Cooler of a Mitsubishi Pajero 2800 CC I am strictly against using it but my michanic says it till be fine.

Now the Plan is i want to use the transmission of my RX8 as it is a manual.

How ever Michanic says the other way.

And Mr Nawaz has asked for an additional 20,000 to mate the 2jz-gte with the manual rx8 transmission.

I need expert advice on the transmission subject.

So the Engine installer has guarinteed 100 % that the engine mounts are going to be solid with minimum cutting.

Go for the R154. Why do you want to swap in the JZ anyways? Was the compression reading on the rotors that bad?

If you want to have a proper swap get yourself a proper FMIC and piping. Pajero intercooler wont do you any good. This is a big engine and needs to run cool. Your Rx8 tranny should work alright for stock boost levels but if you want to increase performance go for the R154 tranny. I also recommend investing in a good clutch kit and a oil cooler although that might not be that important if you dont push your car too much. happy swapping

about the inter cooler your right i too suggested my michanic the same that a pajero intercooler is not feasible.

clutch of course i will need an immediate upgrade as the 13b clutch will be torn to the core with the gte's raw power.

well the idea is right now i have put all my ships in the water.now i just wana wait back till i go to srilanka and come back with some paper weight.

so i am looking for a lean management swap without intercoolers, boost controllers etc.

as i can do them later IN SHA ALLAH

please i need expert advice on weather i should use the 13b transmission or should i stick to the auto original transmission.

i preffer to go with the manual of the 13b

how ever that will require a new fly wheel & preasure plate.

i am not a big racing fan but yes id like to be well connected with my engine and that feeling only a manual can give

and i was told a long time back.

that the best match with the 2jz gte is with rx8s manual transmission

Dnt used rx8s own six speed manual trans ... R154 is better but i advise you to go with the auto trans that came with the engine, life would be much easier, though controlling drift on auto is very difficult ...
