My New Bike: Honda CB125F (deluxe 2019)

sorry i dont have enough info about rim and tyres but i dont think so that deluxe rim is wider then cb125f because cb150f rim and tyres are same of cb125f and mostly riders of cb150f install 100-90-18 at rear and 3.18 at front

as its rpm meter lock 9,5 in 5th gear at max speed of 110
i heard that honda restricted rpm of deluxe bike , there is guy name khan in his thread he is saying that he is used old model cdi unit of cg 125 and now his bike goes to 11k rpm
does cdi unit really works what if i changed too in my cb125f??

and he also changed sprockets with cg model he is saying by doing this he get minimum vibration and long gear ratio which is helpful to achieve top speed
cb125f have front 14t sprocket and rear is 42t so if i changed it with cg sprockets 15-38 will it gain less vibration and top speed without decreasing pick of bike
please share reviews if anyone have knowledge about this

am a long tourer biker so have to make it ready before the next trip
am so much happy if these modification will work on cb125f

In my personal opinion go with the stock cdi and sprocket
100 km/hr is decent speed for cb on highway (above that is good for a sprint however not safe to maintain on highway continuously as still we have drum rear breaks)
Vibrations : either you have pick (quick acceleration)of OHV or zero vibrations of OHC with reduced pick in 125 category

Yes I read that thread of Khan bro. Experiments are good on a second hand project bike but 190k new cb: I think not a good idea for first three years

Vibrations 80 km/hr to feel hi nahi hoti in cb - us say oper yes being OHV

Deluxe mein RPM limiter tha but I heard that CB mein nahi hay however still it may be verified by changing it's CDI with CG or Ravi 125 but I won't change stock settings at least for now

I just swtich to lqui moly 10-40
Install g power ngk
Find huge difference in bike acceleration
As soon as possible am trying to get old model cdi unit but no one has original cdi still am on a mission to find one

I also felt arm pain when I took it for a 477 km journey in a single day (sitting position bhi Pridor say thori different hay... thora bent hona parta hay arms ko as compared to Pridor which i kept previously). But I noticed that Pridor taiz hawa (specially from side right to left or left to right) mein jhoolta tha due to less weight however CB remains stable in fast winds due to more weight. plus breaking and pick no doubt A-one. But still I think one should have both bikes OHV and OHC. OHV to be the city and daily runner and hilly area touring whereas OHC for long routes on straight highways.

On the advise of best honda mechanic in my vicinity, I only raced it once to full rpm in all gears and it touched 120 km/hr on odo meter during run-in period, after that i don't push it past 80 km/hr. I have not faced the oil leakage issue. I think aap best authorized mechanic ko checkup karwaein. Plus handle ki golian yes wo meri bhi kharab ho gai thein 1000 km running par and bike kabhi kabhi aik hi side par yani kabhi right aor kabhi left side par jana start kar deta tha. mechanic told me to change goliyan and i experimented giving clean engine oil 20-40 viscosity to handle bar (jahan goliyan hoti hein) once a week and its going good so far.

try oiling it once yourself, if problem still persist then get the bearings changed (grease high-tension achi wali fill karwana with the bearings as it lasts longer). However, my issue was solved with oiling once a week and it still is good

guys need help my bike is vibrating more then usual
my friend told me if you want smooth drive then change its sprockets size and replace it with normal cg sprockets which are 15-38
currently in cb125f have stock 14-42 sprockets
was this really reduce the vibration problem ?? my friend told me by changing sprcokets you bike gear ratio will long and vibrations gone

kindly post video of your bike vibration, how much vibrations and at which speed. Upto 90km/hr there are absolutely none or very negligible (due to OHV engine). kindly post video!

Hello brother, I have seen the pics of your bikes, both this one and the previous Pridor bike. You definitely know how to care and maintain a ride properly.

I also live in a village in Hafizabad and own a Pridor bike.

I want to know how you keep your all bikes so well maintained. How do you protect them especially from rusting??

My bike is already getting some rust here and there.

Thanks for your kind remarks bro.
1- I park my bike in my Drawing room or TV launch at night in winter and in hot sunny days in summer.
2- Wash my bike myself and in winter with warm water as it helps to cleans mud easily (once a year to wash station to be washed with pressure water) plus I use any car shampoo after washing it with surf water
3- Wax and Polish my bike with good quality (car grade wax/polish) once every 3 months
4- Clean my bike with rinsed first and then dry cloth every night and in morning
5- Apply very little high grade clean grease or coconut oil to a clean cloth and apply once a week under engine bay, on silencer and on lower bike nuts and parts and once a month to brake/clutch livers (this helps protect against rusting)
6- After every wash I put oil to rear brake and gear oil or grease to chain as well

Although it looks difficult but if you make habit, it just takes 10-20 minutes daily for bike care but remains new even after 5-6 years use. Now my bike is ALHAMDULILLAH two year old however still shines like new. Just daily/weekly care routine helps.

I usually park my bike under a Baramda (porch). These days I keep it covered at night. I can’t park it in the room because a lot of dust goes in every evening with the tires.

I have four more questions please.

Today I also waxed my bike for the first time. But when I came back after a riding, there was dust on the bike. My questions are:

1) How to dust off the bike that deposits on it after each riding?? Only with a cloth? Or wet cloth? I tried to use dry cloth, but it seemed to me that dry cloth caused scratches on the bike when I tried to remove the dust with dry cloth.

2) Second question. Should we wax the bike after each wash?? If not, after how many washes do we need to apply the wax again?

3) Does the plastic wrap affects the paint?? I have got my bike wrapped but now I worry it might fade off the paint.

4) Doesn’t applying grease or coconut oil attract more dust??

1) Little risned cloth ( i use towel which is very soft and dont scratch the paint) first and then dry towel only at night after the last ride before sleeping.

2) Wax only 3-4 times a year (when you feel that bike is not shining) plus try getting good quality car wax from a reliable store in your area. Bike wax usually cost 200-300 normal quality whereas good car wax cost is around 800-1200 Rs for same quantity. Also wax for metal parts and plastic parts is different. For plastic parts I use car dashboard shiner spray (i'll share pics on weekend insha ALLAH
Frequent wax (or low quality wax) will cause the paint to fade of quickly.

3) I have never warped my bike in plastic therefore cannot comment as I am not sure about its effect on bike paint.

4) Agree it attracts more dust however if you clean your bike every night before sleep and in morning before riding then dust will be cleaned and oiling will prevent the bike from rusting. Few drops of oil on towel to be applied only after every wash that will help bike not rust fast (As you know in our area me also in a Gujranwala village there is dense fog in winter and thats why bike lower metal parts catch rust quickly if not taken care of therefore this method saves it from rusting however daily cleaning twice is necessary). I keep separate towels for lower parts and upper parts of bike.
