typical Pakistani mentality. Why do you guys like bigass cars? 7 series is supposed to be a chauffeur driven car for people in their 60s. Its no where as fun to drive as a 3 or 5 series, and neither does it handle as well. Pakistan is the only place where 7 series sells the most followed by the 5 and finally the 3. Its the other way around all over the world.

Sorry to disappoint you sir, but in the middle-east, the 7-series is the best selling BMW and beats Pakistani sales by couple of million bmw 7s.

Agree Nice Explanation, Am sure PUNK was just joking, So take it light. We already had two 3 series so just wanted to try the 5 series this time. It is alot of fun cruising at 100kph etc but hardly any place to go that fast in normal routine. Even 5 series is not that fun in stop and go traffic, which is the situation here with us, and 3 would have suited more. Just checked the average speed since got the car which is around 20 km/h

lol what the @&%#? you make no sense. If everyone has their excuses (I didnt get what you meant by using this word but im using it since you understand it) and most of their excuses are to buy a big *** 7 series then it becomes a trend which is something like a mentality.
I bought a 4.8 liter car instead of the 5 liter M5 due to the HUGE DIFFERENCE in MILEAGE :rolleyes:.

535i mileage: 16 / 24 mpg
550i mileage: 15 / 22 mpg
M5 mileage: 11 / 17 mpg:eek:

so you see the difference in the mileage of the 535i and the 550i is very slight compared to the mileage of the M5.

This is the reason why 7 sells here more then the 5 and 3 because in Pakistan money lies with the guys in their 60's and only in that age they go for that ride. secondly young guys probably go for some 2 door or evo's and rest few go for 5 and 3.

and basically those 5 and 3 are mostly base models or avg specs. as you being a 535i owner you already know.
and yes thats what i think if any one differ's then dont kill me HAHA.

And as far as the discussion going on over here is concerned, I would opt for 7 series any day over 3 or 5 at a similar price. I don't care about 'typical pakistani mentality' (whatever that is supposed to mean). And yes my favourite SUV is Land Cruiser/LX470. I have kept one and would buy it again in a heart beat over RR or Q7 or any other SUV. Personally I think that most people (and I am not talking about you DSM) who talk about 'typical mentalities' and 'paindoo culture' do not have the $$ themselves to own big expensive cars and all they do is criticize those who actually have the dough. Grapes are definitely sour for such people.
