typical Pakistani mentality. Why do you guys like bigass cars? 7 series is supposed to be a chauffeur driven car for people in their 60s. Its no where as fun to drive as a 3 or 5 series, and neither does it handle as well. Pakistan is the only place where 7 series sells the most followed by the 5 and finally the 3. Its the other way around all over the world.
BTW congrats on the car man.

Sorry to say but this isnt a good way to criticize someone's choice!! if Punk liked the 7 series over a 5 series then its his choice! just like u bought a 550i over M5 coz of the fuel consumption its ur choice! so different people different choices!! and i will surely get a 5 series for myself and a 7 series for my dad but then again my dad might not be liking the 7! he might be liking the new S class! so different people different choices! its not abt mentality:)

Yes W203, I is for petrol and D is for Diesel.

Of vot i know, "i" is for the upper version like there 760l and 760li and the like.

Getting a 7 over a 5 in the same price IS pakistani mentality.
I totally agree with DSM, he knows what hes talking about...
You can see the same issue with local cars, ppl most prefer xli/gli over city. why? because its a bigger car.... pakistanis are like... the bigger the marrier.... lmao

try driving a 730i and then a 530i... you will see which one is more fun to drive... and which one is more attractiv to young age drivers...

Agreed we like bigger cars.Thats why i will choose a used 07 gli over new swift even if it offers great features.

Firstly, Thanks to everyone for their well wishes and liking the car. I will post some interior pics Insha Allah.

Then, We all should learn to appreciate others choices and opinions. Even here some people were amazed when they got to know we chose 5 series over 745Li even though the 745Li was abit cheaper, But we didn't want to buy something as big as 7 series and we didn't want to buy black. But if we were in a city where the traffic was not stop and go and the commute was longer, we might have opted for the 7 series too. Here I think 3 series would have suited more.

One has to drive both before making decision (5 and 7) and their driving situations. In perfect world I would pick 7 over 5 any day. When it comes to used BMW 5 makes more sense because of fuel and Maintenance cost. Used 7 have more issues then any BMW.

No, "i" is for petrol variants. Whereas "l" is for longbase variants.
for example - 730li means 3.0l petrol variant longbase.
simple 730i is the short based car (less in size then longbase) with the same engine 3.0l petrol

7 series have too many gadgets(options), leak issues and transmission issues. More gadget means more issues. On the other hand 5 have fewer options as compared to 7.

I will anyday choose 5series over 7 as it looks amazing and young.Also 7 series is car for uncles and its very large.
