My new components - hertz hsk 165

Hi guys
Finally i got the new components installed yesterday. Took 3 hours cz speakers couldn't fit in the small triangular opening in door so had to make a wooden double spacer. Took pics from mobile hopefully they are clear enough to serve the purpose.
Currently m running then on stock HU, will start an amp hunt soon. HU porduces only 30W max and stock speakers were 20w rms. Obviously due to this i don't find any difference in sound level or quality of mids. The only difference is the tweeter which are really awesome. Once i get the amp installed surely they'll sound awesome isn't it.

Thanx Levin for your input on my previous discussions, really appreciate it. Ya sound is good especially the tweeter are awesome. Rt now cz m running them form HU so they r getting only 13 -14W rms (pity). Later i'll install amp once i decide whether i want rear co-axials or not. When i sit in my merc the sound is so uniform no matter u sit in front or back. I want this car to be like that also. If front stage only, my wife in rear says sound at back is not good as in front so what shall i do ??? Go for rear co-axial and get a 4 channel amp to power all ???

easiest solution is to request yr wife to sit at front seat:)

yes, ofcourse, matching rear speakers from the company would be best choice.

dont not rotate volume to very high and feed distorted sound to speakers, speakers coils get damaged by small amplifiers.

select an amplifier which fullfills yr need of listening volume.that should be sufficent and easier on yr pocket.

if you have front and rear line-out from HU, 4 channel amp would work fine.

Actually v travel more on highway and my son would not sit alone in his rear seat for long so wife has to go to the back and sit with him. Since hertz are 125w i plan to get co axial with 100w for example and get 4 ch amp which gives atleast 100W per channel. M thinking of focal (70w i think)co-axials or alpine type r (100w).........wt do u think ??

Guys plz suggest Coaxia for rear doors since I can't get hertz coax not available.

Congrats, these would get even better with time, for you amplification query my vote is for a soundstream amp, and if hertz coaxials arent available i would suggest you buy focals access line, would complement perfect with these.

@bad_cheetah.......ofcourse focals are top of list. I've also seen MTX CTX 262 made in USA and kicker KS 650 also available in my area. I wish i could make this car's sound staging like my merc...........it's sound is really amazing. I got it for more than a year but just today came to know that it also has a woofer at the rear deck which actually faces downward inside the boot. The staging is so awesome no matter how loud u want the volume, sound will never distort. I don't have the specs of its HU, amp, speakers or Sub but i know that its from BOSE. When u listen to its sound u feel like in heaven, can listen for hours n hours without hurting your ears even at high volume......i just love it

why dont u get a same pair in the back? u wont get any top of the line 6.5 inchers.. there is nothing like focals but try to listen to alpine type x and polk audio sr and mm series too

Mounting depth hmmm not sure cz haven't taken out the speaker but it doesn't make any difference cz double spacer has to be installed anyway.

So what have you decided about the speakers and amplification in this car?

Well my options for speakers are:

1. Focal Access
2. Hertz HCX 165
3. MTX (made in usa) = 13400 rs
4. Kicker KS650 = 12250 rs
5. Jbl GT5 s265 = 4275 rs

hmm I don't know price of focal n hertz yet, will know on monday only but i feel its a pretty tough decision to make.

Regarding amp they are pretty expensive in Malaysia. Alpine PDX 100.4 costs about 51500 rs ( crazy man ). Not sure whether to go for 100w x 4 rms or 80w x 4. I think first i'll install coaxial then decide whether to buy from malaysia or pakistan.

Just an hr ago got the name of distributor of hertz in malaysia, will contact on monday n c wts available. I plan to listen to focal n type x also before i decide.
