no i dont think so. i am using night breaker unlimited halogen bulbs. and they are far better than normal bulbs and havent caused any issues at all. life span is reasonable and comparable to normal bulbs. AL HAMD U LILLAH

Whether it's irritating for opposite traffic or normal like grande FL.
Grande FL by beem has normal intensity of patren of light low and high which s mostly recognised as legal as per international standards.
Previously I had have c6 plus 55w led then 35 w led kier in ma pre FL grande now ma brothers grande. N 55 was most brighter n irritating for others so I changed to osram night breaker unlimited in high n in low Kier 35 h11

It will glare. All lights in open reflector will glare for sure.
Lights in projector housing will glare less however.
Its brightness is equivalent to 35w hid and 4-5 times better then c6 led (i have used these). Can't be compared with any chinese leds.
I have even used philips ultinon xtreme and morimoto 2 stroke led. Photum is brighter then those too.

Sir use genuine bulbs of Toyota which are mostly made in USA n Germany
N even simple osram have the same intensity only colour temperature and patren is a bit different . Almost 30percent light s brighter than original. But u can't compare halogen to led which s advanced option.

But it's c6 plus original equipment was almost rs.4000 at the initial years when I used it. But i never used Philips led n u have more experience than me to use expensive LEDs.

400watt halogen? Where did you get that? Your headlight would burn in flames with that much wattage.
Even airplanes got hids or halogens that are at 150w

I have used all..from cheapest to most expensive. Photum is brightest and running strong in my car from a year.

The main problem is their life span. They hardly last 2-3 years. Well they got more power which means more heat and more wear so its give and take situation imo.

Last time I used nighbreakers as well. But the specs for the ones you mentioned are a little better.

It was Thai land made specially made for fog and was yellowish orange light so might be colour temperature had some issues. U r right bcz I faced three times bulb holder n relay burnt
I haven't pic yet but installed in city and that light housing was really sharp and heated but superb in fog

But if u want a bit budget led then use draz or Ali Express and make an order for h4 led fanless.
Wid fan led I have bad exp. Coz that were in fog led and in July raining and water 1-1.5 feet in streets burnt my fan leds so use water proof I'm using LEDs in fog in grande as posted...

The only reason that I am fishing for LED recommendations is that they will probably last longer. However, if they cause glare for the oncoming traffic in a non-projector housing, I might not go for them.

Well thank you for that.
No photum won't glare oncoming traffic on low, but on high it will. High is meant to glare. Even stock high bulbs glare. Even s class led glare at high beam unless its intelligent one.

There are no halogen bulbs for automotives that are rated above 150watts, and that can be used in specified reflectors only which can withstand that much heat.

Please stop comparing cheap leds with the high end one. Prices are high due to their research and development. I'm using photums from a year and they got fan too. I have driven 40k kms in last year..I never faced issue with fan or anything. Cheap chinese leds aren't worth it unless you're keeping them in spare just for emergency purposes.

Who told you that led have that much wattage? Max wattage of automotive led is 35w max. For hids its 75w max.
