Asalam-U-Alikum Pakwheelers!
Alhamdullilah got this seΓ±orita delivered on 15-FEB-2017.
Manufactured in 2017
Honda City 1.3L i-VTEC Prosmatec
Taffeta White.
Here's the whole experience and procedure for those who would like to know, might be uselful .it was my first car buying experience,so I was pretty Excited.
Booking
18-November-2016 went to Honda Avenue.Booked the Car with half payment through a cheque.(8.5 lac)
Car price: RS 1,676,000
As Non-Filer: RS 40,000
Total:1,716,000 (without Fog light)
Asked for a ID card copy and thats it.Didn't go for fog lights etc at that time.Delivery date was given as "End of February" and it could be plus/minus one week. The dealer said that its a Prosmatec so delivery is late.Got the booking paper and we were done.
After reaching home I was worried because there was no reference number or anything. This got me worried, then I read on the paper that "collect your reference no from dealer after one week"
Then I was relaxed after a week went to collect Reference number.Came home and entered it in the Delivery Status feature on Honda's website and it showed Tentative Delivery date of:
28-February-2017,Name,Colour and Ref no.
After a week or so visited dealer again because I wanted the Fog light installed from factory. So I Went to the dealer and asked them to add Fog lights to the car. They said when you come for the next half payment we'll add it at that time.I was told to pay the rest half payment by the end of January because if payment is late then it effects the delivery date so its better to pay on time.
Rest payment was given by a pay order and asked them to add Fog lights and they added it.b
(Fog Lights are optional for Rs 6,000 )
I asked for the delivery date and dealer said it is 24-Feb.Then confidently said that most probably it will be delivered before 24 so no worries.I was happy to hear this.
Delivery
Many people were complaining about the delivery timings of Honda Avenue and I very much feared that this would happen to me too BUT...
One day out of no where,I get a call.
At first I was completely confused because firstly it was an unknown number and secondly it was a girls voice, then she said I am calling from Honda Avenue,at this moment at the back of my mind I was like "Have I paid everything? Is some amount pending etc" Then she says "Sir Aap ki gaari agayi hai,kab tak ready kar dun?" I was like "Come again? Didnt here it " I was completely surprised because come on guys 24 and 15 its a 9 days difference, who wont get excited for a earlier delivery.
Went to the dealership ASAP.Did some signs here and there.Registration was done by Honda and Then they offered insurance and I went for it (it covered everything so peace of mind)
The Honda Opulent Card they said it will be delivered within 3 weeks.Every time you visit Honda for service or repair the amount you pay is stored in terms of points in the card and those points can be used for payment.Rs 50 = 1 point =Rs 1
Meanwhile I was checking the Civuc Turbo and I popped its hood and after having a look at the engine bay I closed the hood but the hood wont close I applied some force but nothing happened, the receptionist says sir ye aesa hi hai is ko chor dein.and I was like What the...?? a 30 lac car and the hood wont close?
Then came the moment for which I was waiting desperately for 3 Months.
Man it was love at first sight!
Checked everything and loved it very much.
While checking the car I had a little arguement with the manager. The washer fluid bottle's cap was a little flimsy,so i said to my cousin that this cap is not fitting properly my cousin said to me that the every thing is checked at the factory so don't worry about things, I said to him if that were the case then blunders wouldn't have happened with civic X, the Manager felt a little offended and said "Sir itna bura hal nahi hai jitna logon ney bana liya hai" and I said to him Sir jo aap k showroom mai Red Turbo khari hai zara us ko dekh lein us ka hood band hi nahi ho horaha, then he started to makeup some stories that its hood is very heavy and that we saw accords which are imported having problems etc.
Overall I would have to say I am very much satisfied with the experience with Honda Avenue.
Plates were available within a week and insuarace papers were given after 2 weeks.
Opulent Club card was delivered within 3 weeks.
