Asalamu Alikum all,

I have bought my new suzuki khyber 1989 (preffereably new for me as its my first car).

Engine is good and smooth as it is bought from mechanic in faisalabad an he said its engine is overhauled completely.

I am the 3 rd owner of this car..

Please recommend me rather i use Havoline 20w50 SAE engine for this car ?

Currently it needs tunning i think cuz it is giving my 7km/L and i am running it on petrol only and covered almost 1000 kms since purchase.

Please anyone recommend me some good advises for oils changing, parts and tunning and how to increase fuel average etc.

Fellows from faisalabad will be highly appreciated.

Congrats on your purchase.

If the engine is completely overhauled then switch to any of these oil's.
SGO PREMIUM 10W-40 API-SG.
Havoline 10W-40 API-SL.
ZIC X7000 10W-40 API-SL.
ZIC X3 15W-40 API-SJ.

If you plan to use your car on Petrol only then get all the CNG components removed and get it tuned for Petrol only.

Get the Radiator serviced install Thermostat valve and make the Radiator fan auto and pour in some quality coolant.

Rest for buying new part's i only trust 2 shop's in Faisalabad for Suzuki part's
Lahori Suzuki, Mian Trust market and other one is Mehran Suzuki centre (Mehran Suzuki is better than Lahori though).
For good quality belts buy them from Chiltan Trader's 237-A, Shoaib Bilal Market, Near General Bus Stand.

Can't recommend you any perfect mechanic though.
For tuneup you can try Munazco Automobiles Near Main Bazar Jhumra road, Mansoor Abad...
For suspension work's there is a workshop in a street next to Municipal College Jaranwala Road. You can ask Shehzad Auto's there for them mechanic's name's are Arshad and Dastagir.

Thank you for your nice suggestions sir, is mehran suzuki center also located at bilal ganj ? Currently is missing of thermostat walve and brake oil cap.. will these be available from both of them ? And also makhiyan of front grill...

You will have to search for brake oil cap in junkyard. It wouldn't be available new. There are few shop's which deal in such part's in Mumtaz kabaar market at Sargodah road opposite Habib bank.

Mehran Suzuki Centre is also in Mumtaz kabaar market at Sargodah opposite Shell petrol pump. Thermostat Valve and those plastic makhiyan would be available from Mehran Suzuki centre.

A good radiator guy is also there outside Mian suzuki kabaar i think can't recall his exact location.

Got it tuned, changed plugs to NGK , changed oil to Havoline, engine is smooth but still vibrates and fuel average still remains to 7km/L.. any advises ?

It's a 3 cylinder engine it will vibrate that's normal.

How you are calculating the average?
The traffic conditions in city nowadays are not good so don't expect anything above 10~11 kmpl even with Carburetor and ignition system in topnotch condition. Just to give you an idea my friend's new Cultus 2017 (celerio) gives him about 12~14 kmpl in city driving.
You will only get correct idea of average on motorway or highway. If it gives 14+ kmpl on highway / motorway then it's fine.
No mechanic here would be able to tune it better than that.

Yes you are right bro, i have services it's carburetor, now average seems to be fine in city.. it roughly gives me 10-11 km/litre.. now a lil bit exterior and interior work required.. i will putup it's pictures once it is done..

This is what i have done to my ride, may be its look cool now, now all mechainical work is done with double check.. now only lights work is remaining as i am thinking to installed led lights, its standard head light is not so bright..

The headlights in your car are Chinese. Their output isn't that good. You should have got Taiwanese (Lucid) headlights they were about 4400/- RS for a pair some month's back.
