One thing that has pleasantly surprised me is the fuel consumption that I am getting out of this 1.8L in the initial 1000km (I have drove it for 920Km).

This is giving me in the range of 11.5 to 11.75km (filled tank twice till now). I was not expecting this. Though I have been doing slow acceleration and avoiding hard braking - but still this seems to be quite good

Excellent car you got there mate . Congratulations on your purchase !
And yes the civic will give you pretty good milage if you keep it on petrol and do not install extra wide low profile tyres . Keep it well maintained and mix high octane occasionally with normal petrol . Also try to use CALTEX fuel if you can . you'll surely be satisfied with it's milage .
And a question :
How do you compare it's drive to the Honda city you had
previously ?

Now thats the beauty of a manual tranny... nowadays im driving on my prosmatec and getting around 9 with some mixed driving...

I am doing all that...keeping my ride on petrol (I kept CITY2009 on petrol and enjoyed it)...I am using standard 195-65R15 tyres (Yokohama Decibels DNA)...Am mixing Hi-Octane 30%...And using CALTEX from the company's operated Filling-Station in G-6...

Comparing it with CITY2009 is not that difficult...the power thing...the suspension...and the interior goes for CIVIC...however, I think CITY was much more agile...quicker on curves...maneuvering was more fun...but then it is always a compromise on somethings...

Any feedback from actual users of Royal Shield will be appreciated as well as any reference from where to get it done!!!

PS: Also completed first 1000KM and got the vehicle inspected yesterday....

And yes royal shield was hot thing few years back but now few people are saying it is not worth it. as it is a Teflon sealant etc and there are some draw backs to it.
and it is said using a good type of wax is much better.
like turtle or mothers also using micro fiber cloth for cleaning.

@ rjs: Silver color doesnt gets dirty often so avoid chemicals go for simple wash and service and polish its a suggestion

After getting the car washed and waxed....I was in a mood for some photography....sharing some of the pics....

BTW....also completed first 1500km run during the week....and I am lovin' it....Fuel consumption is amazingly efficient....
