Finally I bought the long awaited Prime lens that I had always wanted. Its the Nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.8G. Very fast lens with silent focusing. Excellent for portraits and low-light shooting.
I have tried a couple of shots with it and all came out great and the boken was DREAMY.
Both lenses have silent internal focusing unlike the 18-55mm kit lens and hence the videos come out much better with less noise.
I'm loving the equipment that now I have in my kit. All of it is a great combo. Only a flash is left and that will be soon iA.
