My Prius not calculating average fuel consumption

Hi every one, i have attached a pic of car's display. In average fuel consumption and distance covered, it shows dashes. Why it is so? Any help?

Everything is shown on the graph ...distance is below it. Why do you need it specifically there?

Ok, but how do i find the fuel economy for the distance covered? Secondly, if the system is suppose to calculate & show and it did so in other cars, why it is not done in my car? Is it some malfunction?
