As most of you already know, that i own a Q7 3.0TDI Quattro, Lava Grey Pearl Effect. yesterday i did this short test run of it's 1-00kmph run. my guess is 7seconds, the roads in Phase-V DHA Lahore allow for short stints

0-100 km/h in 7 seconds??!, that too for a 3.0 TDI?, I am sorry brother but the thing weighs a little more then your house for crying out loud, since you are not a professional racing driver, my guess is around about mid-to-late 9 seconds, I am not saying that the Audi Q7 is a bad car, infact having driven the 4.2 FSI V8, I'd say its a perfect alternative to the family man looking for an SuperSport-UV but can't buy a Cayenne Turbo as its not a 7 seater.

anyways the Q7 is a great car, Audi's build quality has improven quite a lot over the years and nice to finally see some folks in Pakistan prefer European stuff and not go for the Land Cruisers, I've started to hate its existence due to the fact that every other Pakistani with a slightly deeper pocket opts for a Land Cruiser, the redesigned model is down right ugly! (looks that only a mother can love :S).

you'll manage that provided this is a standard 3.0TDI without any performance mods. Anyways, its a nice SUV

every one has his own choice Q7 is a good looking SUV.but dont agree that buying a land cruiser is a bad deal.

Land cruiser is almost bullet proof and the Most rugged SUV till now.(every year the UN buys millions and millions of LAND cruisers)

so what you're saying is that every rich ass Pakistani fears being shot in the face while driving?, and its not that the Europeans don't make strong cars, the original E and F Series Porsche 911 are virtually bullet proof, the current Cayenne Turbo is one of the roughest SUV's I've ever driven, the G-Wagen is the European equivalent of the Humvee, the Range Rover Vouge - best off-roader on the market, European cars aren't built out of Tin Foil and news reader stands you.

and yes I know that the U.N has over 6,000 Land Cruiser as my dad use have a U.N Land Cruiser bake in the day and I respect the fact that they can virtually go over every thing and anything but the one reason that I'd never own one now a days is that every gutless pillack (more money then brains) Pakistani has got one, I am not saying that I hate Pakistan, I love my country, there is no better place that I'd be at the moment then in Pakistan, no matter how bad the situation might be there, I Love Pakistan but I don't like its 16 carore people.

P.S - but Gutless Pillacks I mean to refer to Land Cruiser owners only.

by bullet proof i mean rugged and out lasting without any problems. it only needs regular works like oil change etc and its good and will last for ever. on the other hand Range rover is the worst when it comes to reliability.

i am not offended in any way its just that i am trying to say that FUNCTIONS LUXURIES features etc land cruiser is almost same as its German counterparts but when it comes to being trouble free then LAND cruiser is the KING.

yes on that front I will agree with you, Toyotas make brilliant cars when it comes to reliability but as drivers cars?, Toyota's hasn't got any, and more over, my best mate has got a 2004 Range Rover HSE 4.4L V8 (BMW M62) and after 132,000 km's its still running, with out any problems.

lol thanks mate!, but you'll have to take back the "that FUNCTIONS LUXURIES features etc land cruiser is almost same as its German counterparts", no offense but a Toyota can never come close to the kind of precision and quality that german cars are built with, Toyota is a very profit derived manufacturer and Customer Statisfaction in terms of Build Quality and Personal Luxuries is the least of there concerns - well lets just say Toyota doesn't give a damn! :D, and for that reason, saying that a Land Cruiser is similar to a Range Rover in terms of build quality is just wrong IMO.

Not sure if the topic poster would appreciate having his Q7 compared with a LC but anyhoo let me give you my 2c's worth on this........ if I was looking at either the Q7 or the LC to buy I'd consider the following (given where I live); if I was going to use it for long distances over rough terrain going to countries like Angola, Congo, etc etc I'd certainly go for the LC (the Land Rover Defender would be even better but lets not complicate the discussion) and mainly the reason would be that there are like zillions of LC's around in Africa and that means loads of mechanic's and spares so when it breaks down, as it most likely will at some point, I can get easily get it sorted out. Trust me there is nothing worse then being stranded far far away from the nearest "authorized dealer" waiting for spares. The Q7 on the other hand would be my choice if I was going to mostly stick to city driving and weekend off roading more like the occasional weekend warrior type of stuff. If I were to take the Q7 to the above type of places I'd be asking for trouble.

Both SUV's offer great build quality tho I'd prefer the Q7 over the LC for its looks and features but thats my personal preference and others may have a different view
