g15 will need no alteration in engine mount but you may need to alter excels/cv joint not sure about k series engine but k series engine are way lot more efficient than g series engine

are these k series engines available in market? what about k14b?

G15, though an old engine but is tough fellow. i swapped my G13B with G15A and am happy with it. good low end torque and if set up properly will make u smile every time you start any journey. you will have to find a good electrician for wiring and setting the ECU. G15 comes with an auto transmission and you will have to change the gear box to manual. since the ECU is paired with an auto tanny hence the electrician will have to alter some wiring. you will have to pay attention to auto choke setting, ac and rpm when on idle as it will test the skills of he person working with it. mileage is not 15km but around 10-12 depending on the way you drive. on long routes you may get a little better avg but this thing really moves when you press down on the throttle and you can easily reach speeds of 160km/hr on motorway. having said all this you will have to search real hard in order to find a good engine as there are quite a few vultures out there...

Bro but as far as i know, G15 can be fitted with least amount of alteration.

I am not familiar with K series engines and are they available in country these days already? How much does the swap is expected to cost?

i never went to search for a k series engine, but i think it will be very rare at this time.

i expect that in the next few years it will be available in markets, as pak suzuki introduces more vehicles with k series engine.

the k10b in wagon r produces 70 hp, which is close or better than what the original engine of margalla makes.

if my stock margalla gives 12kpl fuel avg, what would be the point of a g series swap, except for performance gain (which again isn't very much)

if someone successfully swaps a k12b in a sf series chassis, i think it would be fast and a very cheap daily runner.

you will find all sort of stuff in the market and the transmission are bolt to bolt interchangeable. the issue is with the ECU which is different for both manual and auto tranny. this specific engine came in variants of vitara and APV and as per my recollection i didn't find any unit with genuine manual transmission. thus the ones that you will find must be replaced locally. price for these is relative to the condition of the engine. also in my case the swap didn't require any alteration as it was a bolt to bolt swap with G13B. you might have to get some alterations made. only opt for the swap if you have good knowledge of what you are about to do and most importantly if you have a good mechanic + electrician.

get an idea from your mechanic on which engines would require minimum amount of alterations. its a mess running around seeking parts that wont fit and create issue if the car brakes down on highway. if you get a sold engine and a decent swap then you can easily retain the car for at least 3 more years with any issue. its a high revving engine with the ability to survive occasional abuse if you maintain it well. but here its more about people working with the engine rather then the engine itself.

Even f10a fits.

But the thing is, is it practical
