SGO (suzuki genuine oil) 10w-40 premium (its API SG). Drain intervals should be around 5000 km.
Right before each oil change, do an Italian tune-up, i.e. floor it up to redline, upshift and let it decelerate. Rinse up and repeat for about 15 km. As an example you could accelerate in 2nd to 85 km/h, shift to third, and let it come down to 60 km/h. Or, 110-80-110 purely in 3rd gear. Your engine will probably emit black smoke; the smoke means that the engine is getting rid of the built-up carbon.

Its preferable to change the air filter before doing the tune-up; change the oil ASAP afterwards.

Please stay within speed limit; Super Highway might be a good place to do this.

Remember, the car should be at operating temperature before you attempt an Italian tune up; no direct fan, and the thermostat should be working. If the car is prone to overheating, you might want to overhaul the cooling system.

what ever you do don't use havoline in the car it will give your good performance but wil ruin your engine in long run

Havolene formula 10w-30 in winters
Havolene 20w-50 in summers

The idea of different grades for summer and winter is obsolete with multigrade oils. 10w-40 is good enough all year round; if you don't want to use SGO, you can use Mobil Delvac 15w-40 or Delo Gold 15w-40 (diesel engine oils).

20w-anything will cause accelerated wear during cold starting.

Margalla is a good car easy to maintain and drive
if your planning on keeping the car then look out for rust and get it done asap (its mostly the floor pan)

Diesel oil has the necessary additives that were required by old design flat tappet engines. Newer grade oils (SL, SM, SN) don't have enough additives.

what would be the impact on my experience of better pick up, better starting and better milage once i shift from fully synthetic (10-40) to zic 5000 Ci4 or delo gold CI4?

Not much impact, but engine noise . Will reduce and tappets will be clean after a few oil changes, btw I'm wlso using delo in my margalla

I think I will overhaul current engine, the only good engine for swap is k12b imo or k10b.
