My Second Yamaha -YBZ this time

Hello Guys,

Today, I have bought a second Yamaha, this time YB125Z. In 2015, I bought a blue YBR. That was the best experience of my life since I came to knew what is the quality but I had to sold that bike since it was under powered and went back to GS150. Today, I switched From Suzuki 150 to yamaha again.

The people who have driven the YBR/YBG does know how premium feelings the handlebar and overall front-cluster & dashboard gives. I was afraid that YBZ might be missing that premium feeling but today, at the showroom, when sat on the YBZ, I instantly thought to buy it and bought in black color.

Sharing some pics.

Now, why I switched from YBR to GS150 and now to YBZ.
Please don't hate me if I say that YBR is indeed a underpowered bike, I recently watched the top run of YBZ by horsepower Pakistan on youtube and bought it.

Let's see how well it performs.
I'm not a top-speed guy, I normally drive around 80 km/h (from bahria town to Blue Area and that's highway in Islamabad so 80 km/hr) is just average speed on that road and ybr sometimes lag when I try to overtake car or wanted to get out of situation. That is why, I always kept GS150 since it's powerful.

Let's see how well this performs.

BTW, just bought a Rs. 1000 helmet, I might go for a better helmet.
Now, it's time for Iftar.

I have plans to keep this bike until a better bike comes into the market either by Yamaha or Suzuki.
One more thing, I did have checked 150cc Honda bike, it's good but again it's another YBR (I mean, that's a underpowered bike).

I'll be posting a detailed review of this bike, comparison of YBZ with YBR and GS150 once the running is done.

Masha Allah congratulation enjoy its very good in price and good designed. Well first you said you were inspired by video horse power but later you are saying you are not the top speed guy. I hope the bike serves you well fulfill your demand of power performance that video is extra ordinary i mean very very hard to believe in special conditions and using incline road might have managed to take the bike to this performance. I am very sure ybz would not perform near to what was shown in video as it was way too fast in video near to performance of 200cc,

And still it is the only video available on internet if ybz had this much good performance i mean we would have seen youtube or facebook with many videos of ybz touching nearly 130km/h like we seen in horse power video. Ybz would have been instant hit if the engine had this much guts as mostly here every youngster prefer performance.

Any way you carefully complete the running check yourself the real potential of ybz though i personally i hope it performs as shown in video than it will definitely break the market of cg125

This bike is better in eccelration but not as good as shown in video. I got 115 top with ease on islamabad highway. But 130 is something ehhhmmm....

U have been using ybr since 2015 kindly guide me about the engine oil. Which is better for yamaha.

Basically this is A synthetic oil synthetic oils are far far better than any mineral oils
Synthetic oils molecules does not break easily they also perform very well in harsh engine conditions

This engine oil last more longer than any other motorcycle oil+more lubrication has in it gear shifting has become more smoother+engine runs more more smoothly after using it there is no any kind of load on engine

Engine Rpms enters in red zone

Perfect match for GS150 previously i was using zic semi synthetic after shifting to this there was no need to experiment to any other oil

Well, correct, a few of my statements were contradictory. We had a bit of discussion on the CG Dream too and I remember it pretty well and your thoughts about this bikes are very valid too in my opinion too.

Here is why I've chosen the YBZ
I have had owned GS150 & YBR, GS150 is powerful bike, no doubt about it but it doesn't look as good as YBR and that's a big bike. YBR is cool looking bike but underpowered and I find a sweet spot between two bikes i.e. YBZ and that's the only reason I went for this bike.

I just need a solid performance between the speed of 70 to 100 as I only drive on highways and to hilly areas, there I need more torque on lower RPMs, I guess, YBZ might fulfill the needs.

After completing 1000 km, I'll give it a try and if that doesn't fulfill my needs, I'll go back to my car and wait for a better bike to come into the market.

Let's keep the fingers crossed.
P.S. I'm really hoping that it make a dent to CG's market and only then we might see different bikes from the known brands.

I actually do not doubt that video, here is what I think.

That YBZ might have been broken in a hard way and at time of filming it, it might have been using 97 RON petrol and the rider seems to be comfortable with the return shift and I like his gearing ratios.

With all that combination in place, it makes sense. I'm still not sure.
On a bike like this, anything over 100 km/hr might be dangerous except the roads are empty and it's safe to make a top speed run.

By the way, how did you broken in your bike?
This is how I'm doing.
I haven't got the time to ride the bike lately so just covered around 275 KM so far.

Only riding in 5th between the RPM 3000 to 4000 (as I only ride on highways from Bahria to blue area). I did not went above 4000 RPM so far but I'm thinking to change the oil on 300 km and then go up to 5000 RPM and I'm avoid sudden acceleration.

Thoughts on that?

This bike inshaAllah will fulfil ur needs. In 70 to 100 kmh this bike is awsm. I ride this bike 80 k.m in a single day never felt tired at all. This bike gives a balance between power and comfirt.
If somebody planing to buy this bike for rough riding and masti like cg dnt buy this.
This is more like a GS type bike power full but gentle. For long and peaceful ride this is the top choice.

I am still looking for better oil for this bike so far yamaha lube is good. I tried liquimoli 20w 50 but feel a major power drop l.m is not a suitable choice in my opinion.

U r doing nice.. rev your bike in b.w 4000 to 5000
R.p.m and follow the user manual stricktly.
After 500k.m go upto 7.5k r.p.m but dnt stay at this for long. 5 to 6k would be the noramal range after 500k.m.
Dnt experiment with engine oil i recmnd. Use yamaha lube.
Yesterday i met a very experienced owner of a yamaha showroom and ybr 125. Tariq and sons 3s yamaha dealer in wah cantt. He told me not to change 1st oil b4 1000 k.m he does the same with his ybr and he is getting awsm top speed. Simple is that he said just follow the manuals. He might b right maker knows better.
The video yes i think they done all necessary things like petrol setting hioctane mix air directions and a wide road.
Ybz is better on turns no doubt abt it.
