DSM: bro i will have to agree with you, though i have read it in some articles that steermatic can do 9 secs but i think that might be if some pro is driving the car and uses the best timings in manual mode. Anyway does not seem very practical. But as you can see 10.8 is very good for a 1.5 auto!

after watching some videos of altis auto doing 0-100 you will find it amazing to know that steermatic being 1.5 SOHC auto has slightly better 0-100 than a 1.8 DOHC altis auto!!!!
