Try it in "S" mode and it'll do alot quicker and if u try in manual mode, and if u could shift it at the right times u could do around 8.5 or 9 seconds.
I m saying this coz i drive a 2007 steermatic myself.

One thing i like about that car is the CVT since it's very smooth if used with some tameez (which it wasn't in our case since the car belonged to a "gormant" (government) organization :P)
Powerful car, but slows down after 100. Around isb and going on the isb highway, shifting it into S proves good while overtaking. I really liked that car. I remember taking it to 100 with just a little push of the pedal when a prado walay uncle (who apparently had a supreme court number plate :P) wouldn't stop annoying me!!

ya and we have morons claiming that 1.0 vitz auto beat steermatic by 5 cars gap, grow up people!!!! - just see and try to digest the fact that a 1.5l auto car has such an amazing pickup..

bros in a recent thread sum one challenging steermatic tht steermaic manual LANCER 1.6 ko haray... tu maza aayy naa... i was ready for tht challenge on ROLL ON START at speed of 30km/f but the guy flew away hahahahahahahahah

i might be having a friendly drag/roll-on with my friend's 1.7 lancer auto. hope i can do good there, what do u advise, i use plain S mode or manual mode?

dude for a roll on start i suggest ...put the car in S mode + manual and take the car to 30km/h on first gear n signal ur frnd on third horn u both will press the full accelerator n dont change the gears by pressing bottons on steering wheel..let the computer do all the work i.e aotomaticallt change the gears on 6.5rpm ..im sure u will take the lead ......

^^ bro rite now i was reading ur post in synthetic oil.... u said u change ur oils from the specific company ...in ur civic n corolla.. i think toyotas TMO2000 oil is good ,,,
u know in my steermatic i use the TMO2000.....by the way after readin tht thread now im aslo confused abt oils ......help..........!!!
