The owner might not get the car due to our corrupt system that favors the criminals.

The OP had done all the right things, which was the main problem. In Pakistan, you have to do the wrong things to get your rights.

We also tried to guide him as much as we could. But it is not easy to fight the system without using the right connections and/or throwing bones to the dogs (whose mouths are always and always open).

Just like all other members I also wanted to see him come back from Mardan in his car, being the righteous owner. But at a later stage I realized that the poor guy was fighting a lost cause.

For me, the last hope was to negotiate with the culprits. Honestly, I was ashamed of myself to give this suggestion but I thought that this was the only way out of this situation in a dignified manner.

My heart is sad to see another common man biting the dust in search of justice for himself. What else can I say.

I dont agree, screw the vehicle, have the Lawyer arrested and make him go to jail. Once he is in Jail, then negotiate and tell him to buy you the new vehicle.

The lawyer wont go to jail because he bought it from someone who had already transferred the car to his ownership.. The lawyer will claim he didnt know the car was stolen... He will lose the car no doubt but he will easily evade punishment..

only if police start to act neutral and wise. only if police prosecution system become real half of the issue in country will be resolved. Rest of half will vanish only when people know LAW is serious & real threat for any crime large or small.

My apologizes for not keeping you all updated with progress. I was out of city on a mission seeming to be impossible. Will update you all tomorrow. Just got back to my hometown after a full week and I have good news .

I had to take time off from work to progress and reclaim my vehicle.

For starters this lawyer cannot drive this vehicle anywhere now like he used to because Its wanted by Excise due to negligence and a proper investigation is in process.

The lawyer knows 100% its a stolen vehicle but still refrains from returning it infact he wants to sell it back to me which is also against law PPC 413 / 417 / 420. Another thing to mention is that this lawyer have bought this vehicle from his nephew. Either way one of these criminals is gonna face the consequences.

For the financial and mental torture, its a good idea to begin with. It was infact a mint condition vehicle with very low mileage approximately 60k when it was stolen. Anyways, I am after the criminal now.

Bro don't worry, your guidance is much appreciated. I received a notice from Mardan Session Court to appear in court on 21st October so I left for Mardan from Lahore at 3am and I was the first person to arrive in court so when the judge arrived he saw me sitting on the bench and asked me what the matter is and who is representing you?

I told him nobody from Mardan Bar Council wants to represent my 'Just Case' because the opposing party is a criminal lawyer and I have written all the facts and attached all documents prevailing my ownership of the said vehicle. I also said that no lawyer from Mardan could be trusted at this point because my last lawyer started favoring this lawyer instead.

Anyways, the judge was a noble man according to local people. The judge asked me If I myself will be representing my case and I said yes because evidently all proof and evidence directs in my favor and are already provided to you.

So now I sat back and waited patiently because the judge had to go through the proofs prevailing my ownership of the said vehicle point by point. I had to wait because my turn was on no. 8 and other cases were inline before my case could be heard.

after the vehicle comes back into your possession through legal process.

summerize the whole case with dates. hire a serious lawyer with supreme court license, file an application with lahore high court faisalabad bench against the mardan lawyer owner of stolen vehicle. claim damages in eight digit figure with generous heart offer your lawyer half if for any out of court settlement offer from the accused.

summary shall contain all annexures related to the case and conversations you had with the theif in jail and the owner offering asking you money for vehicle return.

make life miserable for him and put it up the case histroy without names and blurred photos of criminal over social media only after procedure is complete.

That approach will work and the lawyer from mardan will be on knees

While I was sitting on the bench waiting for my turn, this crooked lawyer between the age of 60 / 65 came towards me and said to me that he wanted to have a word. I said confidently 'okay lets talk'.

He called me out of the court room and we went by the stairs, he said lets settle this matter out of court. I said okay I already told your nephew to return my vehicle and I won't pursue this case further.

End of the day its your nephew who is gonna face the consequences eventually.

He was like ' hamaray saath ziyadti howi hai ' we did not know it was a stolen vehicle. I said to him kay aapko 2016 say toh pata tha kay yeh gaari chori ki hai challo koi baat nahi gaari wapas kardo case aagay persue nahi karta may.

I was like its not too late and I already gave option to your nephew and he agreed on returning us our vehicle either way whatever you say or do wont make you the rightful owner of our stolen vehicle. And also his federal warrants are in process If you guys are from a good family you shouldn't be making irrelevant demands from me.

By the way this crooked laachli lawyer told his nephew that he will take care of the matter and they won't return the vehicle without ransom money for the vehicle

I told the lawyer that your stance is in obtaining illegal superdari and its your nephew who is gonna get in trouble but now you are keen on getting him into trouble.

He said lets settle this we will go to a showroom nearby and whatever the value of the car is pay me half and I will handover the vehicle to you. I was like did you purchased this vehicle from me? What gives you the right to sell me my own stolen vehicle? agar aap kay saath ziydati howi hai apni ghalti say meray say kis haq say pesay maangtay ho? jis say gaari khareedi hai usay demand karo. I won't pay a single dime. App nay khud bhi Allah ko jawab dena hai agar hamaray saath na insaafi karo gay. He was like lets call a jirga and whatever they decide I will honor. I was like 'NO' just return my vehicle that's the only solution hamay pehaly he bauhat pareshaan kar rakha hai aap logo nay. Aisa karo gay toh Allah ki pakar zaroor aye gi.
