Seems criminal has cover from lawyers through the blood line, you will be chasing a zig zag line. This case may go beyond 2021 before you will be suggested by lawyers’ to settle for a lumpsum amount. Damn the system ️

Although it's good to know that you are a true law abiding person and trying out every provision in the law to get your right, but please remember in Pakistan you can get your right through either the 'right connections' or through some mediation. The long arm of the law is not for the ordinary people like you and me. It is to favor the corrupt and influential, only.

By the way, in the last few years Lahore Excise Office is making a name for itself in committing irregularities of all sorts. It's been let loose to be controlled by crooks and fraudsters. If anyone wants to buy a tampered vehicle and get it regularized/legalized, ETO Lahore is the most preferred option. May Allah Almighty bring them some sanity.

Today is the final hearing in court. Hoping for the best!

I went to MRA Lahore Farid kot to get the ownership status updated since it was suspended but it showed under the thief's name. I asked them to update the status but they said that token tax was short from 2013 when it was transferred onto this person name and the their system wont make changes until all dues are cleared

Now I had to pay token tax 9450rs to get the ownership status even though I did not have the possession of this car for the past 8 yrs. So I did and got the ownership status updated.

The lawyer then went to court and submitted all documents along with ownership status/police investigation and MRA order that the transferred was voided.

The other party lawyer was still persistent that he is the real owner since he had the book/file with him. We told him politely that this ownership have been voided and it doesn't make you the real owner because Its your stupidity to not verify the status of the vehicle before purchasing a stolen vehicle.

He maintained his stance and asked us to visit and have a table talk and purchase this vehicle back. I asked him why would we want to purchase our own vehicle from you. He kept on saying that I have the file/book and it makes me the owner. So I said we will see to that when the time comes.

Today is the final hearing, now i am waiting for the order to get this vehicle impounded.

I tried to mediate but these people were so arrogant to believe that they will get away with it. I had to use the right connections to get through this matter whether it was DG Excise or Citizen portal. I knew I had to play my cards right in order to expose these people and retrieve my vehicle from these corrupt people.

Almost everyone said that forget this matter. its a lost cause but I had faith that if I actually do some effort I might get it back. Now everything have started to turn in my favor.

My lawyer also contacted and assured me that I will get my car back. However, he was having a soft side for the other party and tried to persuade me into not fighting this case further since this other fellow was a lawyer as well which If you think about it is very unfortunate for the mentality of our people.

The other lawyer wasn't stupid. he knew it was a stolen vehicle but still he purchased it. The status remains stolen in police record 381 A from 2012 until this day.

Why would I want to renegotiate with a criminal and pay for my stolen property?

These people have been using my stolen vehicle from the past 8 years and they want me to buy what's left out of it.

To be honest, I don't expect it to be in a good shape. However, I will not pay them a single penny and take this case to the very end until they compensate me for all the repairs required and hassle that i had to go through in order to get my vehicle back.

You are doing the right thing by not paying the other party anything for the car.

In such case they should ask the seller to refund their money (550,000/-) because they paid that amount to him not you. So they cannot ask you to buy an already stolen car from them.

I am surprised to see a practicing lawyer putting up such a demand so openly.

if at all the police impound the car, these crooks will leave only a skeleton for police to impound. The Law in our country is no better then $10 pole dancer. The lawyers leave no opportunity to pimp it. Late Shareefuddin Pirzada was wizard to prove every martial action in court legitimate., as per 1973 constitution.

if the original legitimate owner manages to recover even only a skeleton, i would consider it a full fledged victory as the culprit party being taught a lesson for not returning something rightfully claimed by legitimate owner and being devoid of wat they paid for something acquired unlawfully

Well If that's the case and a skeleton is left of it. I won't take back the case and fight it till the very end. Punishment for purchasing a stolen car is up to 7 years imprisonment. I won't withdraw until or unless all damages are paid for.

Update : The judge wants us to be present in court for the verdict, It was a simple case. However, I will go at the hearing as If the FIR/MRA and police investigation/orders were not sufficient to provide a just decision and stand up for my right.

The court is responsible and a bond worth 5 lac 50 thousand was provided to the court by these criminals to get supurdari for the car. I have the right to claim If that is the case.

no matter even if skeleton is recovered and handed over that is a win for you.
on the other hand court will confiscate the bond. If your lawyer is not "black caw" you can file an application of fraud. Sue the lawyer who filed for supardari mislead the court by producing stolen documents, case is already built up and you can put that gang over knees. But again only if your lawyer is to confront his fellow lawyer.
