My Suzuki GS150 Euro-ll

Salam u Alikm,

I am thinking of buying new GS 150. Would you recommend buying new or used. I am especially concerned about resale and if i go for used then am concerned about mileage and maintenance.

Meter readings as follow
Meter 40 = 36 GPS
Meter 60 = 55 GPS
Meter 80 = 72 GPS
Meter 100 = 86 GPS
Meter 120 = 102 GPS

it's locked down to 1 meter accuracy... can't be wrong. (have synchronized my mobile with 2 other mobiles, with car as well)
anything i can do to make meter accurate????

Wooo hoOo!! Quiet a lot of Meter error at high speeds...

120-102 just feels bad So the 120 on ImranBhatti's bike was also actually 102 only??

So that proves it.. hmm!
It means GS's topspeed is no better than cg125's? the one extra horrse is there is to barely manage pulling the bike's own heavier weight?

feels more like it. i have tested a friend's CG125 euro2, which topped at almost same speed.
But above 80Km/h, CG125 start feeling unstable and gripless. You can do 100 on straight road, but when it comes to ups and downs, and turns, CG125 scared me at high speed. Thats where GS comes in. This is the machine actually made to be used at 100Km/h. At 100, it goes like breeze and makes you want even more 10-20km/h speed
That being said, my bike have done 500Km only, so may be top speed will increase with a bit more mileage on meter.

Yes i am very hopeful it crosses 105 atleast after the running! For now avoid overspeeding..

Go upto 70 or max. 80 in 5th gear.. that too when riding single! Hope she breaks in perfectly and topspeed is improved

brought the discussion here, as enough chit chat was done there offtopic.
Quite happy with its performance.
With its superior acceleration, i don't have to rave it hard to get the desired acceleration. And if i rave it hard, then it simply shoots.
Performed well when going to Murree, didn't struggle at any point.
Talking about top speed (GPS), Junoon's best on flat road was 87Km/h , and GS150 topped at 102Km/h
But i got that speed on Junoon after almost 5K Km running, before that it usually topped at around 78Km/h.

jadoon's GPS test can give better idea about maximum performance of GS as he has maintained his GS well and at mileage around 10k, engine should be at its maximum performance.
by the way it can cross 105 but on slopy road :P, so i didn't mention it.
but really , right now i am more concerned about meter accuracy than top speed, is there anyway on earth i can remove meter error and calibrate it with GPS??? error of around 5% is still acceptable but this much error is just stupid. My badluck when it comes to meter accuracy.... had the same case with my Junoon

you better do something and come back with 110+ results, taa ke mujhe thori tasalli milay...
try to turn GPRS (internet) on at the same time also... just to ensure that this isn't the problem. and check in open area under the sky

On meter,
it goes to 100 very quick, no special effort, just pull the accelerator and it will shoot to 100,
Calm and smooth?? it runs calm and smooth on even 120, 100 is like kiddish on it.

they touch 80km/h with ease without hard effort
It is really great to know there is bike available in Pakistan
which is capable of touching 100km/h with ease with top speed of 120km/h

you will beat CG cleanly not many CG are
capable of touching 100-110km/h with ease specially 120km/h marker
and if possible kindly match your bike meter with bikes
such as CG or some other bikes specially with a car

I have tested a CG125 Euro2 with my mobile GPS, it topped at 105Km/h on slight slopy road. While my GS150 topped 106Km/h at same exact location.

want you to try GPS on your pridor.

Engine oil change quantity on bike's manual is 850ml. And if change the oil filter also, then it is 950ml.
but quantity engraved on engine cover is 1000ml.
When i asked the mechanic, he told that 1000ml is right quantity, and he poured in full bottle of one litre.
