though i already knew that deluxe rim is wider, but today got the chance to examine closely, and it felt quite a bit wider than my stock rim, and 90/90 tyre on deluxe rim was very well fit, tyre's side walls were straight, not bent to inside making it baloon like. so yeah, it will cause tyre to make even better contact with ground and will result in more stability and grip.
any idea about rim price???
i might change it on my first tuning.... i am having good feeling about this.

Hay no issues with changing the rim slight mods might be required that alone with the spokes other wise it would fit with the same tire and the tire would fit in good and look wider. Gs-150's rear rim is 1.6 Inch wide if i am not wrong and delux or piaggios rear rim is 2.15 inch wide. but remeber it would effect speed slightly not much but the effect would be there because of extra weight. the 2.15 rim is heavier than a 1.6 inch rim.

yup GS has 1.6 rim at the rear and 1.4 rim at the front.

ok, got the rim changed with deluxe one...
Deluxe rim width is 2.15 which is quite a bit more than stock 1.6.
didn't have to change a thing, installed the rim on the stock spokes and drum.
recommended rim width for a 3.50 or 100/90 tyre is "(2.50) 2.15-2.75" as claimed by multiple sites, so even with this upgraded rim, i am just on the recommended minimum size

OK funny knowledge ...

Omer85 noted that on his paiggio rim it is also written AHL/SOMO so he told me that HKF is also using AHL rim in its paiggio then my bike was parked just asid we went to check on it there was only chinses and SOMO wirtten no AHL was wriiten... so that means now they not only switched to Deluxe tyre but also using the AHL rim too..

Got the bike tuned today,
suzuki guys are just using Shell HX-3 as bike lubricant, which offcourse i didn't like as it is basically a car oil, so this time before going to suzuki service center, i surveyed the market a little for available options. I had Castrol Activ 4T in mind, but after looking through the options available, i went with Kixx (API SL, Jaso MA, 20W-50).
At sevice center, i asked the guy why they are using HX-3 for bikes, and he was like " baqi oils 2 number mein aatay hain" :o
he also told the pak suzuki soon will be coming up with bike engine oil of its own.
anyway, got the bike tuned and engine oil changed with Kixx and initial impression is very good, bike is feeling light and smooth, transmission is also feeling smoother. looks like i'll be getting Kixx from now on

^^ Kixx is a good oil and its semi synthetic! I am also using kixx and results are satisfactory.. no loss in viscosity so far Iv run about 800KMs on it now U should also use kixx if it runs fine in ur bike!

Oh good, i noticed that it is also available in 0.8L pack which was a little surprising as most oils usually come in 0.7L OR 1L packing.

makes me remember the days of 2007 when my dad bought a brand new Suzuki Sprinter on my request (he wanted yamaha junoon) but even he has to aggree now that we made the right choice. The quality and repairabilty of this bike is magnificent
talking of repairs uptill now it has had no major faults uptill yet so hopefully your experience with suzuki would be good as well
but now that i started riding it i feel the grip from both tires is just not enough
i cant lean the bikw too much on the curves because it starts to slip away
please suggest a good tyre for sprinter STD based on your experience

This bike has engine oil filter, what about using a fully synthetic oil in it for extended drain intervals.
Put a quality synthetic like "Motul" in it and forget it. After 5000Km, change the engine oil and filter both and you are good for another 5000Km. how does that sound?????

when i had junoon, i also wan't satisfied with its grip at hard braking, so i tried a panther 3.00-18 at the rear but didn't feel any improvement so reverted back to stock panther 2.50-18.
amjad635 has replaced stock 2.75-18 with a 3.00-18 (ghauri brand i think) and he has reported improved grip. check his pridor thread for more info.
but that is talking about braking only, i don't trust these bikes to lean too much on corners so don't really know about cornering performance.

Bro what's the price of Motul 1L? Also is it 10W40 or 20W50?
