My Suzuki Vitara GLX+ 2017 the "Baby Beast"

@lodhi7, I bought a used Vitara GLX (2017), it didn't have the original floor mats and some after market plastic mats that didn't fit. I went to a Suzuki dealership and they asked me to pay 12000 for the floor mats, I paid the token money. Does that price sounds reasonable ?

Also I just ordered the front windshield's wiper blades from AliExpress.

The other issue I saw was the crappy back camera on that thing, my feeling is that the original owner had installed some sort of cheap back camera, so I am looking for a replacement, if anyone have some recommendations from where to buy, that's be welcome.

Congrats Omer! Allah Mubarak karay...Ok, as for the floor mats, i too got them from Pak Suzuki and they were made in Germany (I guess) for 10k about a year ago. I got the reverse cam installed in Peshawar for around 5k though it’s ok but sometimes the result is pixelated due to the large screen...nevertheless it’s still fine....Rest of the stuff that includes red dashboard rings, alloy pedals, dashboard cover, door sills, mud flaps etc etc I got them from AliExpress

Hey, thanks and I am back with a question.

How is the AC on your Vitara ? This was a hot month here in Multan and it seems my car's air conditioner only works reasonably when my car is moving at a constant speed. When the car is standing still, the cooling feel very reduced with climate control turned to Low.

Can you share your experience here ? also a comparison of cooling with other cars that you might have been in recent months/years would help me get a better image.

Note: I have already ensured the AC' refrigerant is at the "right" pressure.

Vitara's AC is perfectly fine....The only thing you need to be vary of is the big panoramic sunroof on Vitara....cuz if you slide back the shade then it will definitely invite heat. Even if the shade is on, it still allows some heat in that makes the car comparatively warm in hotter regions like Multan! Rest you may check for the refrigerant if your ac is not cooling as per your desire

Lodhi sb thanks for very actively answering all the questions. I also have a GLX model. Needed to ask from where you get your parts and how expensive are they? Imo, parts at Suzuki workshop are quite expensive. I got my rear window viper stolen somewhere and now I found out that it costs 7000.

Also, for other people I would like to add that it's the best car available out there in this price bracket.
I owned a white Vitara GL+ last year and sold it due to some reason. Since then I switced between few cars. I then bought grande with high expectations but found it very pathetic. I sold it just after one week and started looking for Vitara.
It's very delightful to drive and own. the only concern I have now is about parts because they are so expensive these days. Many things are to blame for this including dollar hike and Vitara being discontinued. I hope they relaunch it soon.

I own a 2014 Toyota fielder hybrid wxb for 2 n a half years and 70k km+. Alhumdolillah had a great experience. Me along with family had travelled almost everywhere in Pakistan (we are travellers). Had a complete Balochistan tour back in January 2020. I must say an excellent value for money vehicle. I'm looking for a change of taste and further expand the range of activities with Abit of off-road capability and reliability as I'll be planning deosai soon. I think Vitara (2017-18) is going to be a good option to quench my travelling thirst + it is a well equipped vehicle as far as options are concerned in the price range. Need expert opinion on vitaras off-road capability specially keeping in mind skardu and deosai tracks. Thanks.

Hello everyone...
so it's 2020, and we have some more options in the market, especially the Compact crossovers, which are costlier than the Vitara. I want to ask the owners a long term usage opinion and review. Is it a good idea to buy a 2016/17 Vitara in 2020 for around 35, what's the resale like? Parts availability.
I don't want to pay 35 this year, and sell for 25 after 2-3 years.
What major expenditures have you had?
