well honda salesman was good with me when I went there time ago.
but toyota gt was superb they gave the car at my door step then after that they said if you like it our salesman will come to your home for booking you don't have to come. everything will be done" hamara banda apke pas aye ga booking k lie apke ghar"

Maybe it's biased. Which is why I've requested everyone here to test drive it and discuss the pros and cons here.

The civic and corolla both have problems. Some seem more problematic to some else, and they can be ignored by another person.

The purpose of this is to enlist as many unbiased pros and cons as possible so that potential buyers can choose for themselves by seeing what suits them best and what issues they can ignore (or solve).

Being a 9th gen owner, I prefer my car because it has safety and security. I find this to be the top most priority. Everything else is secondary - for someone else the cars looks maybe more important and he won't find external locks (like clamps, steering locks) a hassle - unlike me, and would prefer the Corolla grande.

Everyone has his reasons, and they're completely understandable. And he has every right to express his feelings- of anyone doesn't agree with me, he must mention it here and together we shall reach a conclusion in a positive way.

Lol. Yes, maybe I'm stating the negative facts too much.

It's no doubt beautiful and no wonder its the best selling car internationally where they offer climate control, immobiliser and other luxury, safety and security features as standard.

Here Mehran is also very popular - doesn't make it a good car, does it?

We have to make do with these PKDMs due to lack of options.

For a person who leaves his car unattended, it makes sense to buy a car with a security feature and which less popular among thieves, yet has good dealerships and after sales service.

For some beauty of the car matters. And they don't mind locking their car with steering locks and other locks. My family and I are too casual and can't do that. So yes, we want a car with a good security system.

Plus we've been in a major accident and that car didn't have passenger airbags - so we prefer that as well.

I wrote a review stating the facts, with more emphasis on the features which matter to me and my family- but I didn't make anything up. Just kept mentioning the lack of some stuff again and again. A reader may just say - oh ignore his blabbering about the immobilizer and the passenger airbag, I have plenty of locks to secure my car - I will be okay.

And cars can be stolen on gun point - making the immobilizer or the lack of it irrelevant really - but it's best to have it rather than not, and when we have option of getting it (ie buying a civic, then I would still buy that).

Btw, an uncle was in a fix and couldn't decide what to buy - top of the line civic or altis Grande, he read the review and agreed and is now buying a civic. For Him, security was important as his neighbours corolla was stolen from their garage at night. My highlighting the lack of immobiliser helped him reach a conclusion.

However a friend also read this review and as his house is under constant surveillance of guards and whenever he goes out, he parks in a secure parking area, he's buying the Corolla despite my 'bashing' as he finds it beautiful and the CVTi tranny has attracted him alot.

Both people are right in their own way- and in a way this review did help them

True that.... Civic owners are a bit too jazbaati about their cars.

You can compare them with PTI supporters on FB (no offence to them, i was once a supporter of PTI too). All that presence on social media but nothing on ground. Corolla is the best selling car in the world in its category. A few emotional heads cant change the fact by debating on PW.

I'm now very happy that I have chosen a new Civic over new corolla. Exterior of new corolla looks good from front only. If one pays attention at sides and rear, it looks awful. But yeah that's just my opinion. No offense to corolla owners.

Tyre gap is also a big turn off. I'm currently driving a 8th gen Civic and have kept 2005 civic as well and I love the way my 8th gen and 2005 civic used to stick to the road. I don't prefer this awful looking tyre gap. Even 10th gen corolla looks well balanced.
However I have booked a manual base model civic without navi as I have planned to install some good quality kenwood or Pioneer DVD because sound quality of Navi systems SUCK big time. I want a quality sound. I don't really prefer sunroof etc as it was present in 2005 civic and barely used it.

I was also confused as I was getting Grande Manual in that much amount but still I chose a Honda to be in my garage for next 5 years just because Atlas Honda is offering something which is very important for our country(Immobilizer).

The purpose of quoting someone means that i am saying something to that particular person. If a person calls his best buddy using swear words, would you budge in saying this is wrong you should not say like that etc. What's between us should not concern you. Please stay out of it.

And I also want to clarify to everyone that i had not said anything about the OP's review. The review is very fair and he has also has rightly pointed out pros and cons of both cars.
