mostly is the fault of taxi drivers ... they r illetrate and dont know driving rules ... most of the accidents cause due to negligence of taxis ...
its better to save ur car and wear seat belts !!!

i am sure both cars were rebuilt and are back on roads. the thing which matters is nodody got seriously hurt.

a dream come true for rent a car guys. they take money from the guys who rent.get it fixed free from insurance:D

these idiotic taxi drivers who don't know anything about driving... believe me i was astonished to see a couple of taxi drivers giving tests and i dont know how the hell the persons were continuing the test...

honestly, had it been me, I would have made sure that taxi guys pay the bills... this is the ONLY way pakistani people learn;

I am sure that taxi driver would have screwed someone's car as well by now!

Dil tu mera b yehi tha but forseeing their financials, we friends decided to let him go.. cost of their repairs was enough lesson for him.

I wonder why your first reaction wasn't braking and then using your headlights or whatever you wanted to.
But voh kehte hain na ke qismat kharab ho to oont pe bethe howe aadmi ko bhi kutta kaat leta hai. Accident hona tha ho gaya.

bro, my 1st reaction to see a car standing at u-turn/chowk was to release the accelarator long away, in same time I used headlights to make sure that he keeps standing there as it is as I was on main road and it was my right to go 1st. He didn't moved for a long time and this assured me that he'll wait for me to pass-by. After this assurance I floored the paddle again and my bad that moron driver jumped in when I was at his head :mad: wht to do then? nothing else just baaaaang

yup agreed accident hona tha ho gaya... the day before I travelled around 500Km on same car and nothing happened.

don't know about taxi but civic is on roads, i believe still with rent ppl making money

We tried a lot to convince the rent guys, that claim their insurance. But they were not willing to cooperate much... their point was that bank has authority to cancel our lease if they came to know that this car is used for rent a car business. They said if we claim insurance at this platform, bank will came to know about facts as insurance is via bank.
Car was leased from MCB and insured from Adamjee by MCB. We spent almost 2 weeks negotiating with them but all in vane... Our bad-luck and their good-luck :S

taxi khali ho tu they r dead slow annoying all traffic, and with passengers they r dead-fast, braking signals, shifting lanes bla bla... :S

a few days back on univerity road peshawar near to custom house gate same thing almost hapened to me i was @70 a taxi from no where came infront of my car the crash would have been more sever as i also have a mehran and my car and taxi both had passengers but many many thanks to ALLAH
i applied brakes and steering right side i avoided him just my left side mirror scraped some paint of taxi i stopped after swerving around the car
i got out of the car to teach him a lesson but after seeing me he ran away police guy also was with him saying that kheer de preda means kher hai chorr do
at the same time i saw a cute girl in alto behind me she was had her hand on her mouth and she was more in shock then me but thankfully nothing happend

oh, too bad.. Good to know that u learned from this accident and everyone went home safely. u made a good decision of not asking for money from the taxi wala, as he would be a poor chap and repairing his own source of income would have been very difficult for him.

btw, civic took it nicely, though it would have been in worst shape if it hit another civic or corolla etc.

To everyone, ALWAYS wear seatbelt, people usually think that we dont need to wear them while driving inside city.what they dont realize is that an impact at only 40km/h is enough to seriously hurt them, depending on the circumstances of the crash. thanx to ALLAH, i ve a habit of wearing them at all time, as soon as i reverse the car out of garage, i wear seatbelts.nd not only in islamabad (where they fine u for not wearing them) , i used to wear them back in sargodha too, all the time.and some ppl even made fun of me for doing this, thinking that i was over-involved in the car thingy n u dont need to wear seatbelts at all...

yup mate, we never wanted that their kids start cursing me later for making them to pay huge repair bills...

I've learnt a lot no doubt, but wonder how I still have a heavy foot

There is a saying, "Whenever a person rents a car and leaves the rent-a-car premises, the rent people start praying that an accident should happen"
They could have had easily claimed insurance but they made you pay. Man! you are a gentleman. Hats off to you. They must have claimed insurance afterwards.
Yes! People do have a tendency to wait at crossings while creeping really slightly and when the vehicles gets nearer, they suddenly step on it to get to the other side in a frenzy.
I was overtaking a vehicle today with my family and there were two ladies with a child looking at the other side (where they were not supposed to) while crossing the road. Despite honking the horn again and again, they didn't pay any attention at all and luckily there was little distance between them and the divider that I somehow managed to pass through with Allah's help. This all happened in a second or two and you know what???? They didn't pay any attention even I had passed the the car behind me barely managed to brake hard with screaming tires to a halt but they kept on crossing the road while talking and didn't even look at that car too People should really not be so careless as they could have ended up dead and I in a rut.

I can easily presume that if all taxi drivers were forcefully caused to have a proper driving test and the failures will not be allowed to drive taxies... i think taxies would reduce by 80 percent or even more

The same kind of thing happened with my dad
He was at the speed of around 80km/h and a bus driver did the same what the taxi wala did and my dad ended up hitting the left side footpath to avoid the bus
