NADRA Smart National ID Card (SNIC)

So my old CNIC was expiring was 31st December and today i went with my DaD to get it renewed.
We were told that SNIC will be applicable for all within 6-12 months ( replacing all old CNIC) so the officer told us we should go for SNIC
My question is

1. Has anyone have got this SNIC made?
2. What do u think about/Ur thoughts/Concerns about this new ID Card?

Some features of this SNIC are as Follows

1. Chip based Smart Identity Card with 36 security features
2. Multi-dimensional usage and services
3. Social and financial inclusion programs
4. State of the art encryption technology
5. Live identification of captured fingerprints
6. Easy pension disbursement
7. Accidental death insurance of Rs.100,000 for 2 years
8. Compliant with ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) Standards
9. Data written on card both in English and Urdu which will be very useful for overseas Pakistanis and people who used to travel abroad.

SNIC Fee

Normal fee of SNIC is Rs.1500 while there is no fee for ordinary fresh CNIC. Normal renewal fee of CNIC is Rs.75. Initially smart cards will be issued for a period of 10 years.

Bro i hv cleared the above statement

I hv applied for SNIC now
this facility is available for ALL PUBLIC
The system like this takes time to be implemented thats why in 6-12 months old cnic will b replaced by snic

Yea it does mean any person can apply for SNIC

NADRAH will increase the utility of this SNIC in future like an ATM card etc

tracking part is possible...how much does the SNIC cost? that will tell if a tracking chip fitted into the card is feasible.

and the laser part, MAY just be possible. Although it sounds non-sense since we haven't seen it on TV yet.

trackable by a chip? without any outer physical power providing device? man u are just 2 minut peechai :-s

there are are other ways of tracking.
when ever you get ur card scanned, ur location is updated.

apart from that a tiny battery can also be embedded in the card, its not that big a deal.

And you think, Google maps "my location" is a cool feature? Basicly it helps track you, Not helps you tracking

hmmm , RFID chip implants in humans going on the west ,
mandatory for government officials for now and voluntarily available for citizens ,
