Sir jee i am noticing that no one is answering you after asking again and again. But the reason could be your incomplete question. That on where you are asking that the adress is in english or in urdu.

guys i dont mean to intrude but i heard that the chips on these cards are trackable and each and every person carrying this card can be tracked via satellite and US has started programs in satellite to kill people via laser (those who they think are terrorists or are not following their rules, kind of like drone attack without the drone), dont u think it is the pressure from US to implement this system so that their can be no privacy or freedom, just a thought

Something JUST happened...

I bought a new sim yesterday and it got activated five minutes ago. Atiq bhai said, 'Vajih, here's something probably related to you' and I saw that UFONE had sent HIM a message that my new sim had been activated. In other words, data from Nadra was collected and he was informed because when I applied for my SNIC (it was mandatory for some reasons), I mentioned his details as my next ov kin. Vot sense this makes, I got no clue. It was wrong in the first place because the message said '.....has been activated against your CNIC.....' whereas I did it in my name. So unless Nadra has mixed up records which I doubt, this is one surprising thing to happen.

Salam everyone! I have this confusion. Today I and my Mother applied to get Smart CNIC , we both have NICOP. My only question is, The country of stay on my Smart CNIC will be Pakistan (not the one on my NICOP) so will my NICOP data get cancelled or It'll be functional? Cuz i go overseas every year. NADRA said something like this your primary data will be the one in Smart CNIC ANDd the one on NICOP will be secondary. So, am I gonna face any problem when going overseas?

My ID card has been expired in nov 13 Should I opt for SNIC or simple CNIC? pros n cons , any special advantages?

CNIC is for 10 years, where as the SMART card is for 7 years ONLY for people under 60 age group. (for 60+ it is Life time) Opt for CNIC, SMART card have serious data flaws over the system & physically the card cracks like a ATM / credit card kept in wallet.

But SMART card is bi-lingual where as CNIC is in urdu

.... NADRA help line 111 786 111, policies & promotional advertisements are null & void unless otherwise notified by an SRO issued by Cabinet Division in Gazette of Pakistan.

SMART CNICs are issued for 7 years, instead of 10 as drummed about in news & news papers., As we all must have heard / read in news, newspapers of 7,8 & 9th Dec 2013, the new passports will be issued for 10 years. There is no such notification issued in this respect and passport offices are clue less when shown the news paper cuttings.
