What details and what should be its price? I urgently need a car since I don't want to ride on a bike again and my mother and siblings are coming to pakistan this month so need a car badly.

Remember: Any car new or old needs maintainance which should not be ignored.
And do not wash baleno's engine.

Get opinion of 2-3 good mechanics if you cannot inspect the car your self.
Check list should be
original documents
original plates(for sindh)
Paint condition
Is it involved in any major accident
Is there any rust inside or outside
engine compression
head gasket(for heating issues)
suspension

Coils (specifically for baleno)

@other members if there are some other points which I missed please guide our forever alone guy:P

If the condition is good then you cannot get anything better in such price range.

My neighbor is selling a baleno sport white color model 2004-05 for 575k, I asked my mechanic he says don't buy baleno, its a troublemaker due to an EFI and it has less resale value, parts are expensive. what do you guys suggest should I buy this car considering I am looking for alto cultus these days for family use.

baleno is much better than alto in every aspect ...maintenance is expensive for every car these days .... resale point is somehow valid but if u don't change cars often then it shouldn't bother u ....

he is your neighbor right, which means you can have your forever alone hands on car for like good 2 hours in the name of test drive or perhaps a non existent date, once you have the car first take it straight to the denter and have its report, if he says ok, then shout for the painter he must be close by and have its opinion, if feel satisfied then take your car to mechanic and give him the steering wheel and atlest couple of kilometer of ride, your should make him ride this much zabardasti on all kinda roads to hear sounds form car on all sorta surfaces, then at work shop have its engine bay inspected and look for urslef how much wiring is messed up to install the sound system and bla bla you know what i am talking about, ask him what to expect in coming days and what the current condition and how much for the immediate garnishing, check each and every eletrical function urself and it should be hundred percent, i repeat hundred percent. if feel like good after then then Allah ka naam le kar gari k papers check karin and all the best wishes,

the mechanics say that coils over plug get short and they do in previous models but not one you mentioned, you mentioned 1.6 version its called Glip i think, dont have any experience of it i have driven office baleno kaafi sari and its good, info like milage and how is car mechanically, hows its sterring and turning, electically how much car is messed up, interior and body condtion stuff like that, have it checked by a paid mechanic i would say and about price i cant say anything, rest baleno is good family car or atleast 1.3 version is........

MRI isnt a bad idea and here what i missed, its the alignment guy and second most important guy after mechanic leave the denter painter just ask mechanic if car have severe hit or not and he will tell you and by skipping the denter painter take car to alignment guy just ask him to cross alignment of front and rear wheels, he will tell you if the axels are aligned or not, if not most probably car was in some sorta serious incident. he will put on same laser guns whateva they call it and do it for you in couple of minutes and this is no less than MRI:S

@ S55 Best of luck baleno is good car and more important thing is that it has a good pakwheel community support then Liana so after buying this you will not be for ever alone at least on this forum

We also have kept this car and as far as i know the coiling problem is solved by some tweaking you can find it out In professional forum

I have talked to a friend of my brother, he will get it checked from the mechanic near jail chorangi completely. He says the price is fine if only 2-3 pieces are touch up. Also I talked to the owner he says that price is almost final 575k, I don't think he will drop more than 5-10k more. What do you guys have to say?
