In the picture I have posted, you can clearly see that the thing is in total maybe around 0.5m3 (1mx1mx0.5m), using a sqaure base of 1m and a height of 0.5m (it looks in reality alot less than that). Now the original pic says "hundreds of tons". Lets take 500 tons = 500,000kg. With that density should be atleast 500,000/0.5 kg/m3 = 1,000,000 kg/m3. For comparison, plutonium has less than 20,000 kg/m3. For further comparison the core of the Sun is 33,000?160,000kg/m3 according to an estimate according to wikipedia. So if that really was the case, you should have nuclear fusion and taray zameen pay.

It depends on the dose rate and the exposure time. This location was deadly in 1986 and still remains dangerous. High radiation flux can affect electronic circuits and equipment, not just photographic film, unless specially radiation-hardened equipment is deployed.

remember millac milk at that time millac was imported from ukraine and in pakistan every CSD store was selling it on discount price it takes two year (86-88)to banned that milk until media( jung akhbar) highlighted it.

I read that link.....then viewed many other pages.....read about black holes....ended up watching interstellar (the movie). "Wasted" whole day....great movie by the way....

back to original point. The original photo you posted said that the "elephant's foot" is just a few meters across and weighs hundreds of tons....which is incorrect.

lucky for pakistan their services were back online when soviet invasion of afghanistan started...

But unfortunately the 35 year contract with them ended in 1982 and just two years later pakistan lost in siachin war and even though soviets were defeated in afghanistan, the outcome was not as good as it could have been. Then in 1999 Pakistan again lost, same reason, no angel support.
