Naran Kaghan Trip -

This was my trip to Naran Kaghan.

Left Karachi by Greenline in last week of May-2015.

Places visited were:
- Balakot
- Kewai
- Shogran (and nearby Siri Paya)
- Naran (Lake Saif Malook, Jalkhad, Batakundi, Pyala Lake, Lalazar, Lulusar)
- Azad Kashmir (Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad Red Fort etc)
- Mansehra
- Oghi

I met a driver in Naran who was charging very minimal cost and was very friendly and simple and having Toyotta Corrolla/City/Jeeps etc, he gave me his number 0342-2857756 Name Abdul Zaman to share on Pakwheels, 0342-2857756 Abdul Zaman. He can pick you from Pindi/Islamabad/Mansehra or anywhere you want and can drop you anywhere like Kaghan, Naran, AJK, Shogran etc in a very minimum cost in the car of your choice. Tell him that you picked his number from Rizwan sb. I returned back from Islamabad via AirIndus. Flight was comfortable, food was okay, seat space was not good but overall landing/takeoff/flight was behtareen.

The town of Lahaina, Maui's second most-visited attraction, combines history with soul. Its museums, art galleries and historic sites all have compelling stories to tell. The beach rentals in Bahamas
is probably best known for its whaling history, but that's only a small slice of its past. Lahaina is the place where the immigrants first landed in Hawaii and where missionaries first came to press their ideals on the natives. Now, its harbor is bustling with stores, dance halls, souvenir shops, art galleries and watering holes but the town remains faithful to its past. Another highlight in this town is the massive Banyan tree in front of the old courthouse which was planted in 1873 by the town sheriff to commemorate the first Mission.

If you manage a little, you can save a lot on this type of trip. Following are few tips;
- Where you go either to Balakot, Kewai, Abbotabad, Shogran, Naran, Kashmir...you will find very economical guest houses. Dont let anybody else to book room for you, go yourself. Because if anybody else go to book your room, he will charge a hidden commission from the hotel owner.
- If you are a family of 3-4 persons, you can complete this entire visit in around 40k-50k depending which transport you use and which hotel/guest house you stay in. But if you do the same visit through a tour operator, it will cost you around 100k-120k.
- If you are on Naran/Shogran visit, drop your UN-neccessary belongings in road side guest houses in Balakot.
- Meals in Norhern areas is not good and not hygienic. Always take ready cook meals from some big store in Karachi/Lhr/Isd before leaving - I always take it from Imtiaz Super Store and i tested it myself. You just drop the ready cook meal bag in hot water for 5 minute and its ready. Lots of variety available at Imtiaz.
- Don't be over prepared, you will find transport/accommodation easily.

Hotel Paradise is economical and good one in Shogran.
