It has started raining and the rain quickly gave way to a hailstorm that lasted about 15 minutes.

Altitude check. 3465m=11,367 feet. about 3 hours have elapsed 3 more to go. We're not too tired right now.

But that is soon about to change.

This is the place I am told where you can rent tents. It is deserted at this time of the year. It's about half

way into the trek.

The lake is located at the base of the peak you seek in the centre.

At this point I am completely sapped of energy. My friend is faring slightly better. I don't think I am going

to make it. I am left gasping for breath after walking for every couple of minutes and I've got a nauseating

feeling, like I am about to throw up. I sure am missing the horses at this stage. Should have hired some from

Besal.
