This my first topic on Pakwheels about any trip since i created an account on this site
I know there are hundreds of travelogues on Naran here on Pakwheels and since Naran is 2nd Murree now,so,it wont be an interesting topic for many users
But still my apologies for the usual ghissa pitta Naran topic
I prefer exploring northern areas with family and this is my 3rd visit to Naran
The route was multan>gojra>m2 till islamabad and burhan>abbotabad,mansehra>balakot>kaghan,naran till babusar.
returning route naran till balakot>gari habibullah>muzaffarabad>kohala>murree>islamabad and back till multan
our ride was honda city,2015
I ll begin the journey here from M2 motorway pics and so on

Days spent = 7 days
Travel Duraton from Multan to Balakot = we left multan at 5 am early morning and were in Balakot at 4 pm.....with dozens of stops...you know travelling with family has its own advantages and disadvantages
from Balakot to Naran = 3 hours
Drive experience = Amazing...i drove from multan till babusar and babusar to multan as only driver...didnt let my father touch the steering wheel LOL......the drive at Salt range and babusar road is priceless...the drive till babusar top from lulusar lake is once in a lifetime experience....and the car performance was outstanding...faced no trouble anywhere...trust me honda city is the most powerful car in 1300cc category(in pakistan)
Cost of Hoteling = 1000 per night at balakot
4000 for 4 nights at naran
7000 for 2 nights at murree
It was ramzan month and totally off season...thats why the accomodation was less expensive
Fuel charges = approx 11k to 13k

At Kewai,just before the route to Shogran....there is Aabshaar cafe...a good spot for spending some time
at the entrance of that 'chashma' there was a family so i didnt feel like taking pictures of the front view of aabshaar cafe
instead i climbed a bit up and took this pic from there

This place is before Mahandri i guess....the view was absolutely stunning...took some pics with family and resumed the journey

Mahandri Bazaar....stopped here to buy some fruits...i must say that the peach or aardu available in northern areas are far more juicier than they are available in other parts of country

This Place is before Kaghan i guess.....Personally i feel it was one of the most beautiful part of our journey...there was a beehive farm and the way to the river on the roadside...the weather was cloudy and temperature had already started to drop after leaving Balakot and gaining some height....so we stopped here for about half an hour to capture the moments in our cameras

This place is between Kaghan and Naran...closer to Naran to be accurate.....
Here we saw the first signs of snow at the side of the road...so decided to stop and capture some pics again

Amazing work. I recently visited naran till babusar top from 15th to 20th of september, it was very cold + rainy those days. Also visited shogran & believe me its very very beautiful although road was in bad condition.

Welcome to the Pakwheels as FIRST thread. Although the area is well seen by most but there is something new in every thread. Your pics before Mahandri are new to me. The snow capped mountains in background are good. Share your all experiences open heartidly, We will enjoy with you dear.

thanks a lot for the appreciation...we visited shogran in 2005...its really beautiful indeed...the road is narrow and in bad condition unlike it was in 2005...we had 4 cars in trip and 3 of them were on their first visit...so i guess it would have been quite horrifying for them to ride towards shogran...so we didnt go to shogran this time
