Navigation system and DVD player in Toyota Aqua

I have just bought Toyota Aqua 2013. Worried about its navigation system as its showing maps or God knows Japan or Alaska. I have learnt there is a SD Card support in my system. Tried to change the language but failed.

Should i have to change my DVD player.

or is there any fix available in market. More i have got to know that there is a doc in my system which tells health and other useful information . but all in Japanese. help will be appreciated.

Congratulations on buying Aqua. May u have a great experience with it. Ameen. There are problems with these Japanese infotainment systems. Better get it changed. Alternative options range from cheap Chinese to expensive ones. From simple DVD player to Android based infotainment system.

thaks... can i just fix a 7 inch android tab (like samsung or other ).... can i directly attached my speakers with android tab.

This seems to be a good idea. You can get some holder like iPad holder or something similar to use your iPad or tablet in car. Well tab can be connected to the car's infotainment system via Aux/Bluetooth. In this way tablet will not be permanently fixed to your car and you can use tablet at home as well. For back camera you have to use the original infotainment system. Feasibility should be further assessed in accordance with the dashboard situation. Opinions from other members will be very helpful who have tried such solutions. Please note do not disconnect battery of your car unless suggested by some expert. It may result in resetting of ECU of your car which may cause technical issues. Second it will render your infotainment system nonfunctional. You may have to spend money to make it functional again. Experts can guide you how to change battery when needed.

What is model of your system?

After spending countless hours, I have found solution to change language of Mitsubishi NR-MZ series system.

Believe me it is very good system and don’t ever thing to replace high quality Japanese system with low quality Chinese systems.

Unfortunately, I have not found solution for map update.
