Dear brothers. I have 1989 LN130 surf. (1989-1995) 2nd gen. Its 3/10 in every aspect. I want to change body with NCP fresh vehicle. I don't want to install things from local market as i have bad experience in previous projects. Bilal ganj items are not 100 or even 70% and you know level of our mechanics as well. (No doubt on their experties but how rough they do their job, there is no proper fitting of finishing) so i dont want to loose my money. Only option is to put new body.1. To put same shape (not available in fresh condition) if someone can help then i qill be great full. 2. This is the main reason to come here. I WANT TO put 3rd gen body but dont know body tax. Currently Custom is not allowing this process to legalize your vehicle. If there is any source then pls let me know. 3. What would be the changes in frame to fit that upgraded body4. Newer body on older frame is illegal.
Please sell your vehicle as such and invest your time and resources on a legal project. A Hilux pickup (any model year) is a very good option.

You are right. But i dont want to invest 2.6 Million in 3rd gen. I got this jeep for 8.5lac and spent 1.5 to maintain but that 1.5 has no worth, because it need everything to change/repair.Ncp of same shape will cost 5lac. So if i get any fresh vehicle then in 1.6 or 1.7 there would be a brand new vehicle.
Same shape body change is alright.
Hopefully, you'll find a good donor vehicle if you do a thorough search.
Same shape upgrade is not a problem but remember to get new body registered and pay the tax for it to legalise the body change.
For same shape there is no body tax. Currently body tax option is offline by customs
