Need advice about Panther MTR-09 as CG's rear tyre!

As today i got to know that my Honda CG's rear tyre is worn out and needs replacement. I have already searched the forum here but could not find any info about this tyre...Panther MTR-09. I like the look of the tyre. So need advice about

• its grip on dry and wet roads
• its price
• Fuel economy and acceleration/speed of the bike while using this tyre

Moving on, This as NOT a road tyre. The tread pattern is of an Off Road Tyre. Get this tyre ONLY if you live in hilly areas, or want to visit such areas. Otherwise, a Road Tyre is recommended.

If you like the looks of this tyre, and prefer to get an All Rounder, then kinly look for "Panther Power".

I have been using this tyre since 3 years now. And its going pretty good. BUT, it has got medicore road grip. But that is to be expected since its a "Long Life" tyre (which means its wear rate is slow, hence grip is less), and its not completely a Road Tyre (its an All Rounter, and can do some Off Roading Too).

If you want Prely a Road Tyre, and only want Panther, then i'd suggest Panther MT1.

thanks bro...i ride in Islamabad...so i guess MT9 (Panther Enduro) isnt suitable for me......i am planing to go for Panther MT1....

I got Servis Vigo for my CG...i looks good and heavy. Il post the pics later.

Servis Vigo tyre: 1500 Rs
Got both the rear and front spokes adjusted: 250 Rs

went to the G9 market...only one shop had Panther tyres n only MT1...didnt like much the Panther MT1 in real....so left with the choices of Servis Cruiser, Servis Gripper and Servis Vigo.....

Overall tyre experience......Good..

Someone told me Vigo is a bit heavy tyre....but i dont feel any change in pick n speed of my cg....( it goes to 120 on isb highway ) but again...my old tyre was worn out but it had an extra 'coating' of tube inside.....so the weight of both old n new tyres was almost same.

I take sharp turns....smtimes v. sharp...( but always with RESPONSIBLE driving ) ...never felt it slippy .... the tyre has tiny rubbery 'outgrowths' in mid n sideways....so the grip is excellent in this new tyre...even on wet road....hope it stays the same.

Braking is better than before.....anyways i always use both front n rear brakes together....

The look is good even..... bulky n nice....the pattern on this tyre is cool....

Brother, in one of the pictures above, it seems that the tyre pressure in your rear tyre is too much. Your tyre is not making contact with road properly, as per this picture:

hmmm...il get the pressure checked tomorrow......for the single rider (most of the time), rear tyre pressure should be 38 in summers n front one 28...am i right?
