Hello there! Its been around 4 months since I bought Honda Civic VTI Oriel 2006 model. The car is in excellent condition and was driven around 240,000KM.
Previously I owned Santro and when I purchased this bigger car, I kept one thing in mind that my expense will increase and it has. The main problem that I've been facing is the low fuel mileage of the car. Initially it gave more than 300Km with tank full in January but as soon as the AC was turned on, the mileage has decreased considerably to 6-6.5Km per liter. Although I was told that this model's average mileage is 8-9Km per liter.
In last 4 months, I've replaced its gear oil, motor oil, oil filter etc and got it tuned twice from two different places, one of which is a Honda Authorized Workshop.
I feel the need to push the pedal hard to get the pick of the car too.
Overall, the car is very very neat and clean but I'm seriously disappointed with my decision with respect to its low mileage and have no choice for now to keep this car.
I really like this car, specially my kids like it due to its sunroof and I'd like to use this car for a longer period but somehow when I look at the mileage, I seriously start to think about changing the car and go for some small Japanese model cars to get the high mileage.
Anyone who can help n suggest me how to increase the mileage of the car and recommend some really good workshop which can check my car.
Waiting for some nice advice!
Regards,
Jawad Ahmed.
