I am planning a family trip to Kalam, Mahudand and Kumrat Valley in late July 2017 with another friend's family with a total of three kids(two of them 1 y.o). As usual, there are certain doubts and questions regarding these places due to which your help is required.
We are planning to book a high roof from Multan and back.
Day 1:
Multan to Islamabad/Mingora
Overnight Stay
Question 1: Can we make it to Mingora/Fiza Ghat from Multan in one go?
Day 2:
Islamabad/Mingora to Kalam
Question 2: How is the road Condition and how much time will it take?
Question 3: Can we take High roof van up to Kalam?
Question 4: Any recommended places on the way to Kalam?
Question 5: Any Hotel recommended with good picturesque location & food and a playground/lawn etc for Kids as we will be staying for 3-4 nights? Any Contacts?
Day 3: Spare/Roaming in Kalam
Day 4: Tour to Mahudand Lake and back to Kalam
Question 6: How is the road condition and how much time it would take to reach there?
Question 7: Places/Waterfalls to visit on the way to Mahudand? Heard a few good things about Matiltan.
Question 8: Can we take highroof up to Mahudand?
Day 5: Trip to Utror valley and Kumrat Valley (and back?)
Question 9: Safe for Family to travel to these valleys?
Question 10: Any good hotels in Kumrat valley for family stay? We would love to stay there for two nights. Contacts please?
Question 11: Places/Waterfalls to visit on the way to Kumrat?
Question 12: Same as above. Can we take highroof van there?
Day 6: Spare/Roaming Kumrat Valley
Day 7: Travel back from Kumrat/Kalam via Dir or Bahrain and stay in Islamabad
Question 13: Safe for Family to travel via Dir(if we stay in Kumrat) otherwise we will have to come back via bahrain.
Question 14: Is it worth visiting Malam Jabba during this July season.
I know these are a lot of questions but I think I have covered most bases. Hoping to get helpful replies, like always
