Assalam o Alaikum,

We need good advice about route, estimated budget and place for stay. We are 5 people and we'll leave in morning of 2nd Jan,2015 and return in the evening of 4th Jan,2015 from Gujranwala. We'll stay 2 nights. One night will be stayed in Pindi Bhattian as our relatives live there. We are hiring a Suzuki Bolan and we are going to visit these places:

Rohtas Fort
Khewra Salt mine
Kallar Kahar
Katas Raj temples
Soon Valley
Pindi Bhattian

I need help in these things:

Best route(where to start)
Fuel charges
Guest house to stay(which city)

If you remove Rohtas fort from your plan then it will be align

If you must have to visit rohtas fort then rather turning left from N5 at sarai alamgir carry forward and turn towards rohtas fort before dina city.Spend some time and turn back and leave the N5 at sarai alamgir canal going towards mandi bahalwaldin,reach the head rasul.Take a short brake at head and surrounding, may be a tea break .Move forward towards jalalpur sharif then pind dadan khan upto salt mines,visit mines and lunch break.Next will be katas raj temples and caryy on to kallr kahar.Get a room in the ptdc kalar kahar and quit,wander around lake kallar kahar.take dinner and enjoy tea sitting on the edge of the hill jutted out towards lake.Night stay.
After having the breakfast carry your journey on towards rest of the soan valley, khabeki lake,kenhati gardens,uchali lake,namal lake get back onto M2 kallar kahar before evening and move towards pindi bhattian .

Fuel charges depends on the car you move on. Roads from gujranwala till sarai alamgir is A+ from sarai alamgir to head rasul is b grade road,from head to pind dadan khan is again A grade road ,from pind dadan khan to khewra is b grade road .from khewra till dalelpur road is again b grade and from dalelpur till kalar kahar road might be under construction and grade c.From kalar kahar and inside the soan valley road is of b grade.

That is which i call a b grade road and this section is between head rasul and jalal pur shareef ,after khewra till dalelpur and in the soan valley all roads are like this.

If you leave by 7am from lahore you would be at rohtas fort around 11 am and after visiting the fort for about an hour leave for tilla.You probably would reach tilla by 1 pm.Spend an hour or two and turn back to GT road between 3 and 4 pm.
If you are supposed with your family i would suggest do not travel off the GT road as now a days 5 pm is the last hour of the day so better stay in jehlum.
If you are with gents only then take jehlum head rasul road ,crossing the head rasul with in next hour you will reach khewra in the evening and stay. https://goo.gl/maps/YkSX7 106 kilometer .
If you are accompanied with your family leave jehlum early at 7 am and you will be at khewra between 9 and 10 am .
