Need Car suggestion. Budget around 4m

AssalamuAlikum,

Its my very first post here. My father owns a Cultus 2006 that needs constant maintenance every now and then. I own Haval AWD and wanted to buy something same but he only wants a small car, (baghair digi k, choti gari).

So far, all I found is Daihatsu Mira and Passo in this range and my friends suggested me not to go for Vitz or Swift.

Are these cars (Mira and Passo) spacious compared to his current Cultus? How's the fuel economy, general maintenance and user experience. I want the latest available in Islamabad with low count on Odo meter as well as Grade A ratings only. General use of car would be driving to different cities (LHR, Nathiagalia, Monal, Peshawar etc.) and inner city drive.

Any advise would be appreciated.

is ur father daily driver ? or occasionally drive like couple of time in a week

Generally speaking, almost daily for mosque and for groceries. Once a month long drive to nearby city.

660cc cars are generally not practical for intercity driving. However, if this is ok for your needs, you can look for Suzuki Wagon R Hybrid. Look for a car that has excellent AC performance in stop/go traffic.

I have used Passo for 10 years. JDMs are good small car but its maintenance is a problem specially new parts are not available when needed. I had spent more than 1.5 lac on different AC mechanics replacing kabuli parts but nothing worked.

Swift interior quality is not as good as JDMs. But if your father was satisfied with Cultus, Swift is definitely an upgrade for him so dont rule out Swift.

Vitz and Swift both are good cars. With jdms there’s an additional issue of low ground clearance and problem of finding parts if anything goes wrong.

Try to find a good Corolla Altis 1.6 in 4 million, not sure if it will be possible but check the rates. But your requirement is of a small car so Corolla is ruled out. However super reliable.

Passo is a worse car than Vitz, so don’t go for it.

Pkdm swift overall will be a great option if going for new GLX CVT. Good parts and maintenance support, modern with all the good safety features, great fuel economy.

If not going for Swift then second choice should be post 2016 Vitz.

Do not ever go for 2nd tier JDM cars like Mira etc, will cause huge maintenance/parts and resale issues.

Same as my thoughts. I was into Swift and Vitz from start but heard from my pakistanis that its fuel economy is shit and that there aren't many features when compare to Mira.

like not going office stuff like that.

how about Picanto in 31 or 32 u will be able to find brand new AT picanto..

except fuel not a concern
