NEED EXPERT OPINIONS: 1.6L MT on 1.5L 5AFE Engine

AOA.
I have Toyota Corolla XEG 1998 swapped with 5AFE 1.5L MT.
One year ago I replaced the gear transmission because the older one causing problems.
The mechanic at the time of changing the transmission told that we are installing the
gear box of Altis 1.6. After this installation, the torque will be improved and major performance
of the vehicle will also be enhanced.
Eventually, I got replaced the transmission e.g. Altis 1.6L Tranny on 1.5L 5AFE..

After installation i felt that the torque of my car is much better then before.
But it does not complete the full launch (Low end torque is awesome but high end per gari ghut jati hay).

is this a problem due to a bigger gear transmission or some thing else?

Need guidelines and suggestions from experts.

Technically its impossible...

it must be 1.6L 4AFE transmission ....not altis 1.6L

But concerned mechanic at the time of installation told us. khair dafa karo.

i also agree with you, said tranny should be of 4AFE.
i think this is a compatibility issue. What do you say?

and is there any connection of a high end torque with the bigger tranny?

i am sure that i have 1.6L tranny on my 5A.
But not sure about Altis 1.6L as the SER GTR said.

The transmission installed in your car would have smaller gear ratio. That's you feel better pickup but with the loss of speed.

JDM 5AFE used ECT Type tranny....
