Need Help about Daihatsu Mira

can someone please help me about Daihatsu Mira 660cc car.
I was planning to buy Mira but some people told me that it gets frequent problems with engine and so its not a good car to have. and they recommend me to get Cultus (old model)
can someone plz give me some info if this is true or not? and will it be a good choice to get Mira or Cultus?

W.S. Bro, any well-maintained car does not give any problem; be it Mira, Cultus, etc. Problems only arise, when a car is abused / misused, and is not taken care of properly and at the right time.

660 cc used JDM cars need more attention, due to their small displacement engines. I would personally prefer a 1000 cc well-maintained Cultus, over a 660 cc well-maintained, used JDM car (due to more cc), otherwise generally speaking, used JDM cars beat locally assembled cars on any given day / time; the build quality, features (safety, security, etc.) are far far better as compared to locally assembled cars. Rest, your money, your choice!

Btw, Mira is No. 1 choice when buying a used JDM 660 cc car. Car does not have any generic issue.

There are no generic issues in Mira. Aiwi logo ko maintain karni nai aati gaari. Desi mechanics se hulwa k beth jatay hain gaari and then koi masla a gaye tou gaari buri ho jaati hai.

I bought a 2006 JDM Alto in 2012 and sold it in 2016
At the time of the import it was 26k driven and when i sold it, it was 132k driven. Never even faced a single issue.
Just did regular oil changes (Quality oil) and filters etc.

You are 100% right that imported cars have great safety and security features vs locally manufactured, my son buy 2015 Mira in 2017, it was just for him to go university but when I visited Pakistan I drive it from Islamabad to Lahore and Faisalabad not only in city but to rural areas too and the millage of car was really amazing, road grip also good and A/C works well, only the issue I face was road clearance but actually this car not made for rural area its good for urban area only but overall it did not disappoint me.

its a good choice for small family.

You can buy Mira ES with confidence. I have this car for over 3.9 years now - used more than 100k km in Pakistan at almost all terrains, no engine issues. Only difficulty you will face is replacement of parts..if you are living in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi or Peshawar you wont face any issues in parts availability too..
