Need help -> buying Honda accord Cl7 or Cl9 or new Civic vti 2010

You never know how previous owner has used the car plus accord has expensive parts so even if you had to replace few parts of accord it will cost alot. So its better to stay on the safe side and buy NEW Civic.

Sir surprisingly parts of new Civic are equally expensive and a local car can also fail pretty early.

Buy a new car

Avoid ALL imported cars of 03-05 model if you have the budget for a new one. ALL imported cars have their meters reversed. I personally know an importer and have seen all auction sheets where cars having mileages above 50,000km are brought here and have their meters reversed to 20,000km which people here happily buy.

Above all, ALL 03 models accords in Pakistan have changed at least 2/3 hands but still when you go to market you will see them having mileages only around 60,000-70,000 which is pure BULLSHI*. In Lahore, Go to lanes behind Montgomery road where you will find Meter walas who will be changing readings of 150,000km to 30,000km and they charge only 2000-10,000 depending upon car. Also in lahore go to workshops near Jail road where you will see them transforming pathetic condition cars into mint condition using imported compound polishes and leather conditioners. Once you see an accord or Land cruiser going through this process Ill guarantee you will never buy these so called imports anymore.

Every dealer and imported car owner knows about how to convert a normally used car into a mint condition one and then sell it to unsuspecting buyers. Forewarned is forearmd. Rest its upto you

Bhai read the reply of mani. He is absolutely right. 90% of these 2003 accords have meters reversed. So how can you expect a 150000km driven accord in more than 2 to 3 hands can be in perfect mechanical position.

If pathetic condition cars could be changed to outstanding condition then everyone before selling the car would have done it. I accept that people get the meter reversed but still, Japanese assembled cars are better. No offence but every one has own views and opinions.
And one cant compare the drive of an Accord with Civic or Corolla. Accord has its own class.

@tashkeel when u will see that cars getting 2 no parts and meter reversed then ur opinion will be changed.how can be a 04 model only driven 30k kms.These dealers do fraud with people.

imports old cars are only 50% otherwise its various parts are changed.my friends have done experience with accord only 35k on odometer but when we took it to denter we came to know this is only sprayed and painted.

accord has its own class but a civic is more reliable ,better at interior class,exterior looks good and no major maintainance till 1 year.

Accords nowadays are played out and extremely hard to find one which is in mint condish. (They may look it, but not really)

i mean just pay and drive away ?
if not then after booking how many days they can deliver ?
if i want to just pay and drive away how much i have to pay extra for civic and city ?
which is best place to purchase new honda car in lahore ?

what is the quality of warranty they giving ?
after purchase new car how many km should i drive on petrol then i can install cng ?

After complete documentation, pay downpayment and the dealer will give you the delivery date of the car which can fluctuate from 2 weeks to 3 months in case of "PROSMATEC" civics. Manual ones are readily available

If you want to get the car urgently, then there is a thing called "OWN" which is 50000-60000 in case of Civic, but then you have to wait for like couple of days until someone else's car arrives in your desired color and you drive it away.

In Lahore, all the dealerships are good when it comes to sales. But ill suggest you to go for Honda Fort (Queens Road) as or City Sales (Kalima Chawk) at second place. They are one of the oldest dealer ships in Lahore.

On civic, i think they are giving 2 years of 50000km warranty period. TIP: Get your car insured, donnot rely on these dealerships.

As for CNG, ill suggest you not to go for civic. Get a manual city. As Auto's donnot do great on CNG.

In civic, 70:30 does fine (Super:High Octane)

On highway, 15 can be achieved on 120kph

after sales service of honda are not so good or even any company in pak.two three members have very bad experience with honda 3s dealers.
Its importantly need to tell u that this civic has very problems.as u can drive the car problem free for 1 year but after that it will start causing problems.Refer to a thread problems in civic....
axel prob,engine mounts,bearings,steering wheel pump all these re very expensive.Also noise starts to come after 1 or 1.5 year.
on manual you can install cng but i have experienced it .it gives 80km on 55kg cylinder in city and max 120 on highway thats very bad.
normal petrol super can be good.their warranty is about 2 years.
it has very expensive parts such two mirrors costs 40k.a price of honda 70.

1) No axle problem

2) 2007-2009 Civics had mounting and bearing problems. Now Honda Atlas has changed their suppler and no problems are found in 2010 models.

3)Steering pump issue was there in some* 2008-9 Civics, its resolved aswell.

4) There is no such noise. Even if there is then it wouldnt harm your car in any way. Take your car to honda 3S dealer and replace anything you want n warranty.

5) 1.8 is not meant to be driven on CNG. Its a gasoline engine so try to stick with petrol even if you have to eat one less roti. Car is like your family

6) This kid is a die hard toyota fan and knows nothing about honda. So dont take him seriously.

Sir not all importers are sham.

My 25 years old Accord is in perfect mechanical and electrical condition, half self start on Petrol and CNG.

Sir a new car is better for you, Civic is a very good car with no problem of fuel and maintenance.

@poster still if u want to take risk with ur life.then i cant do anything.well see these pics all has axel issues some re 09 or 08.also the pump issue it costs 40k.i my self have a civic its a very good car but axel risk.
