i need some help/information
i am planing to buy honda accord
please tell me which is best , CL9 or CL7
what is disadvantages , factory faults , mileage average on petrol and on CNG , is spare parts easily available , cost of spare parts , handling , brakes , which models are available in pakistan , what is price of CL9 ( excellent condition ) and Cl7 ( excellent condition ) , which model is good ?
please provide me as much information and experience you have regarding Cl9 and Cl7

or

should i buy brand new Honda Civic vti

i can spend 2000000 for car !! and in that money i want Best car .

i suggest go for an i-vtec prosmatic version.and save 2lac.there is no point to get an accord and in this price range u might get a cl-9 2002 model which is now almost 9years old car.if u want to avoid frequent maintainance then CIVIC CIVIC AND CIVIC !.

1.First of all you have to see what is your requirement? Comfort and Economy or Power and Style... Comfort in terms of avoiding going to mechanic once in a blue moon if at all you get an accord with some problem.
2. Can you maintain an accord?
3. There is difference between CL-7 and CL-9. You have to decide which one do u want to go for. Only then u can compare that with Civic. I would not comment about CL-9 because I am not maintaining it at the moment. So lets stick with CL-7 and compare it with Civic Oriel Prosmetic.

Accord CL-7 (2002-2007)
Pros: -
* Power
* Comfort (Specially the seats...I never get tired in it)
* Speed and Control (I am never afraid of driving it 180 the top speed even)
* Excellent Braking
* Tough Body but if kits installed then it will have very low clearance
* Triptonic (Auto and Manual Shifting)
* Beautiful interior and exterior
* Company fitted HIDs
Cons
* Heavy on fuel
* Expensive maintenance

Civic
Pros
* Brand new car
* Economic
* Beautiful Interior better than accord
Cons
* Less seat comfort in comparison with Accord
* You will find a lot of civics on road but very few accords

And many other things.... And if you talk about CL-9 then there is simply no comparison. In 20, you can get an excellent CL-7 but not CL-9. Excellent maintained CL-9 are between 20-24.

actually i was in K.S.A. and from last 9 years i am in Pakistan my whole family was there , we got some seriously problems thats why we came to pakistan , in Jeddah ( i was studding ) my dad change model almost every year and my father always prefer 6 cylinder cars , from last 9 years i did not drive much even my uncle have 2009 APV i did not drive it well but i was 2006 xli and 2007 EXI ( after 6 months i sold it )
now point is as i did not have much knowledge of pakistan's car etc and have not any knowledge of pakistan's technicians how they repair cars and also many others , after 9 year we got some money , i can spend 24lacs too , but main problem i told you ,
for me what your suggest which car i have to buy , accord is well safely car also its looking great also have good space in it , i do not mind if you suggest me any other car but car should be good looking , safe etc could be any brand which are good in pakistan also if you have any car in your mind which is good as well as resell value please share

DEar if you can afford 24 to 25 lack dont do for accord or civic buy a good mark x. you will really love it

buy city 2010,highly economic,stylish, comfort is good as seats are concerned,if you dont go for low profile tyres its quite comfortable in normal 15" rims and dunlope sp sport tyres,has abs brakes.and car is perfectly made according to euro4 standards.also go0d on gas.definately spare parts are cheaper as compared to civic and accord.good interior.milage is almost 24kms on long routes i.e motorway.in city ul get approx 16 to 18km/l (depends upon ur driving habbits).
overall car gets 8/10.
NOTE:- DONT GO FOR PAKISTANI MANUFACTURED COROLLA. (it is mentioned in caps and bold so that u dont even think about getting corolla)...best of luck

Then Accord is the best option for you. Another option is Mark X but u will not find any good mark X in your range. If you keep increasing the budget then you will land some where in audi and beemer range.

My sincere advise, start searching for an ACCORD CL-9 2005 and up model. You will really enjoy the ride.

About CL7 or CL9 they are xpensive on maintaince plus fuel too n when ever u wana sale it u wont have customer as much as civic got so u have to consider resale value of the car too cause sooner or later u have to sale the car

If you just want to be trouble free then buy a civic and remain maintenance free. Just visit Honda for regular check ups.

You will bear loss of around a lac after one year.

Sir Cl 9 is a bullet proof machine, there is no question of any breakups or faults at all.

I have owned one (24 TL version), no local car can match its performance, even a 6.8M 0 meter Camry and Accord (Thailand) seems a big ugly bull in front of it, its a pure driver's car.

My only reservation was that it needs Shell HI Octane, nothing less (that was the only reason of selling it).

I would love to recommend you a BMW E46 316i/318i or even a Mercedes W203 C160/C180 (not the Kompressor), but you cannot take good care of it and they can be both heavy on pocket, if proper roads, technicians and fuel is not there.

You can get them all in good condition within your budget (in Karachi) .

So in the end I recommend you an Altis Cruisetronic SR in your favourite color, it is leagues behind the cars mentioned above but its a decent car and you cannot go wrong with your investment.

You never know how previous owner has used the car plus accord has expensive parts so even if you had to replace few parts of accord it will cost alot. So its better to stay on the safe side and buy NEW Civic.
