Asalamu alaikum I hope you all are fine.
I have Corolla Axio 2007 model. Last year on 25 February 2021, I repaired steering rack because the car used to wander alot on motorway alignment was fine. Every mechanic was saying that there is noise in steering rack but that noise was not that much noticeable I don't remember that noise.
Kharadi repaired steering rack by replacing inner bushings and pressed inner tie rod ends. Few months ago steering rack noise started again and the car was only driven 20k kms.
14 days ago I replaced front suspension lower control arm bushings and ball joints. And tested car on motorway the car did not wander but the steering was loose.
So I imported this Genuine steering rack inner bush.

I think that the steering noise is due to bad inner tie rod ends. Because it was never replaced before and while repairing steering rack the kharadi pressed the inner tie rod ends. Which are now again loose. So according to me the bushing does not needs to be replaced only the thing that should be replaced is inner tie rod ends. And steering rack repair does not work here in Pakistan because they do not replace inner tie rod ends just press them and they are hard for few months, after few months the tie rod ends gets loose and start clunking noise. Experts correct me if I am wrong.
So I will be going to replace inner bush with Genuine bush and install new inner tie rod ends.
Will it solve the noise and loose steering issue? If I do this repair properly will it last for few years?
Because I have heared that steering racks cant be repaired. And if its repairable which grease should I use?
