Need Help regarding trip: Planning to go to Naran Kaghan next month

Asalam-o-Alaikum everyone,

Guys I am planning to go to Northern areas like Kaghan, Naraan, swat, Jheel saif-ul-malook, Ansoo jheel and other valleys there with my wife next month on my Toyota Vitz 1000cc model 1999, two wheel drive. Please tell me will my car be able to climb that roads and will it be safe to go there with my wife alone???
I've never been to these areas before, I've just been to muree so far on my car and i can drive good on these roads. Please I need advice from all of you. Also tell me about the people over there. I've heard that its not safe for just one couple to go there alone. Also tell me will it be a good time to go there in mid November???
Those who have good knowledge of those areas please advice me in a little bit of detail. I am from Lahore.

Swat and Kaghan Valley are different places though they can be included in one trip but connecting travel of 1-1.5 days is required from Naran in Kaghan Valley to Mingora in Swat Valley.

Your car can easily go till Jalkhad which is ahead of Naran. If u find it easy to drive in Galiyaat then there shouldn't be any issue in driving in Kaghan Valley.

You need to hire jeeps for Lalazar, Saif-ul-Muluk and Sri Paye.

Ansoo Lake is 12-14 hours of return trek at high altitude from Saif-ul-Muluk onwards and it would be too tough if u are travelling with family. Though u can visit Malika Parbat basecamp on horses.

Regarding security, there isn't any such issue till Naran and areas before that. Just avoid Lulusar Lake and Babusar Top if u are too concerned about security as recent incidents of looting and killings happened in areas beyond Lulusar Lake.

yes you can go there in mid november provided snow fall do not block the roads as i remember i visited the naran on 1st december after my marriage along with my family . and please remeber *you can not mix swat with naran trip . they are two diffrent sides . i advice you to go on your vitz till naran (if road open) then visit saif-ul malook etc on jeep and places and do not go to ansoo lake with family. you can go to shogran too . but try to move there as early as possible .
for swat you can visit many places like malam jabba etc there.

Thats a really cool picture. and the info you've provided will be very helpful. Moreover tell me which place is worth seeing amongst both SWAT and KAGHAN NARAN as I am visiting for the first time. And what if I reach there and roads get close due to snowfall. Will I get stuck there???

Very nice picture Imran bhai. you guys really rock i am always following your threads and posts and found that you people are really brave,courageous and no matter what ride you have you just do it perfect . so i conclude its the power from the inside that made you strong enough to attempt that kind of ventures.

hmmm its very difficult to compare Swat and kaghan ..both are worth seeing places but in your case i recomend you to go to Kaghan Valley and do not worry about Snow only stay prepared as if you face the first day of snow fall on your stay then come back as early as possible as most snow starts near naran early and in case its already snow falling in naran then do not attempt to go further. in kaghan valley you have so many options that you will not regret your trip in that area. if you want to stay at extra care level then you can take tires chains with you and you will not regret spending a little on tires chain . seeing Naran and Kaghan covered in snow is always a very unique experience.
