Sallam Dear All,

i have 1992 corolla japanese model.which was orignaly automatic diesel. but later on previous owner convert it to petrol 16 value 1300 Cc manual gear.

now i would like to put back the automatic transmission meter everything is same as auto.
can some one tell me how much does it will cost and best place to do it in LAHORE or Peshawar.

Check the ecu the previous owner put in while swapping, if that supports auto tranny, it shouldn't cost u more than 50 grands, else include ecu cost as well

you will be need to change the ecu because it was converted from diesel to petrol and i am sure it will be having a manual transmission ecu you will be needing auto one and an automatic transmission

there are 2 type of transmision's used with this engine 4E-FE both are non ECT(Electronic controlled transmission) they are pressure shift transmission's . 1 type is 4 forward without OD select pattern and the second one is WITH the OD select pattern
the transmission without OD option is usally monuted on previous old 12 v 2E engine. and also on some model's of 4E-FE the price of the 1 transmission is 7000/- and the price of 2nd on with the OD select option is 11000/-(Kabuli). you need Automatic Transmission flywheel as well and a gear lever the whole conversion will cost you 15000/-

ok so you are in faisalabad . well if you will change the trans from faisalabad it will be very ease full for you rather changing it in swat. many time's few minor issues occur related to the transmission better stick to the local market. and yes your transmission can be adjusted if it is 5speed than it can be sold for 4500/- if it is 4 speed than it is 5000/- to 8000/- regarding of the position here in pindi the 4 speed manual transmission are very rare usally hooked up on the old 2E's engine's.
